80s commercials that aired on WMSN in October 1986. Last ad is for My Little Pony Beddy Bye Eye Baby ponies.
But the most 80s ad in the bunch is for Watchimals imo. Totally tubular. :)

Watchimals ad from the January 1987 issue of Toy Journal. As far as I am aware these were never released in Japan.
Day 7; Let’s have a very 80s Christmas! All I want for Christmas a Watchimal! I went to TF Con LA and was happy to find a booth selling MLPs, Care Bears, and Watchimals!
Watchimals were these huge toy watches for kids. I mean, they’re a cute idea, but just look at the size of these things.
If you were a kid with stuffed animals at the time there wasn’t much distinction. A soft, fuzzy friend I can wear on my arm? Of course, other commercials made it very clearly a product aimed at girls.
Advertising for the Wearimals, similar-themed accessories you could mix and match with clips, went even further with it.
I’ll give the folks at Hasbro credit, though. The Slime Time spots showed both boys and girls enjoying the creepy crawlies.
It still confuses me who would want a life-sized frog strapped to their arm, but watches were one of those passing fads in the 80s. I guess it’s like calculators. If you have to have one it might as well be cool looking.
