hi Dove, which element do you think playable Dottore will have? I think Dendro and Cryo are both valid options and with the who Pyro Gnosis/Irminsul Burning even Pyro could be a choice. What are your thoughts or hopes?
Hello hello! 😊 I've been thinking about this ask since the day you sent it in lol. I have... many thoughts and hopes!
My first pick (and belief) is that he'll be dendro. Cryo is only slightly in second slot because of the whole "cryo preserves memories" theory. But back to dendro... I think the most obvious and straightforward choice would actually be best for playable Dottore. Assuming he gets brought back and starts going by Zandik, the merging of all his segments and soul pieces into one whole person would finally allow him to age and apply all his acquired knowledge at once.
What I'm getting at is basically growth. And what element represents growth? Dendroooo!
Cryo comes in at a close second for me bc I think it naturally just... fits. But considering how many cryo characters are now on the roster for Snezhnaya, I think there's a slightly less chance of this.
Pyro is... certainly a choice! I can see why it makes sense, which is why it comes in third on my list. You're right to wonder about the gnosis. I did read a theory online somewhere about how maybe Ronova's deal with Mauvika for borrowing her power wayyyy back in Natlan included the handing over of the pyro gnosis after everything was said and done, which really isn't that far-fetched nor impossible. I actually had a crack theory for a while that those lizards we kept seeing in 6.3 and 6.6 were Ronova, not Dottore. But now it seems less crackish and more... based? If Ronova has the gnosis, however, that doesn't bode well for anyone.
If the gnosis is with Dottore? He may use it as a way to sustain his lifeforce, and pyro element may be an indirect result of that. I do think it's interesting that at the beginning of the 6.6 AQ, they made a direct comment about about the creatures at Apep's side being completely resurrected and unharmed. Though... I'm not sure if that was the hint I think it was, or if it was referencing Nahida's plot later on in 6.6.
I can also see electro potential, just because he's unique and I think it would actually fit him somewhat? I know leaks said previously (like a long time ago) he was going to be electro, but I personally believe Hoyo scrapped that idea and incorporated it into Moonttore instead.
Anyways- Bottom line? Dendro. Then cryo. Then pyro. Those are my top three. :) I'd love for it to be dendro though and for Zandik to use his knowledge for good.
