I can't scroll down enough to see all RR posts, I think it's an endless scroll thing? I've been offline for a bit and wanted to catch up :') This site is poopy I know (but also I've loved the updates I have been able to see)
I'm sorry, Char, and anyone else who's been having issues. It may not be you. It may just be that I haven't posted any Robin River updates since Halloween, except to say why there weren't any. That's fixed now, and I'm much better. Now all we have to do is fix the Hellsite (Affectionate). :D
Good news, everyone! Compadre and the kids (including BabyInNICU) are all in the recovery stages of Covid. Their tests have come back negative, and theyāre cleared for school, work, and other public things. Two people from our parish have volunteered to get the kiddos back and forth from school. Weāre running a meal train for the family, and are making sure that they have help with laundry and cleaning. BabyInNICU is off his oxygen, and has been doing very well. Compadre is well enough that he got to go visit BabyInNICU last Sunday night! Comadre is still sedated. She has a leak in her lung, and now has some subcutaneous air from the leak, making her look a bit puffy and weird. Her doctor says the leak is small and should heal itself. She has no air around the lungs and thereās no need for a chest tube or further intervention. Sheās basically stable, which is better than getting worse, but not as well as weāre praying for. Iāve been able to sim again, and Robin River will be back this evening. Obviously, we could all still use your prayers, but itās no longer as extreme as it was. Weāve gone from terrified to scared. Thank you, so very much, for your prayers and love. Thank you for your notes of support. Iām not going to send individual answers and replies, but know that Iāve read them all and I really appreciate them. After my horrible last year+ of medical drama, I know full well that the reason my compadres and I are doing as well as we are is because of all the love and prayers of people like you. God Bless you! Be safe. Be kind. Continue helping your neighbors. Love,
Elfie
An update (of sorts) from me and the family for which Iāve been caring: I donāt think I mentioned it, but one of the issues is that my Compadre, the father of this family, is blind. So we can bring him all the groceries in the world, but without one of the kids, he canāt cook dinner because he canāt read the different boxes and canned goods. His blindness has led to all sorts of hardships and blessings, but not being able to drive in a town with very poor public transportation is one of them. That being the case, they were running out of diapers for DaughterAge1.5.
A mutual friend, pregnant with their third, brought the needed diapers to my house last night so I could deliver them today. And got in a car wreck on the way home. She and her baby spent the night in the ER, and were released at about 4:30 this morning. They will both be okay. Which is good, because I would have a hard time living with myself if she miscarried the baby while helping me help friends. Comadreās been in and out of ICU for a week. Because of her pregnancy, her body was refusing to help itself and instead was using all the attention and help from the hospital to keep Baby well. He was due October 14. To help them both, she had a c-section today. They were both completely sedated for the birth (Comadreās been intubated for a while because she isnāt breathing well.) LittleBoy had to be immediately intubated because of the sedation. He started off with 100% oxygen and lots of help from the machine, but heās already down to 45% oxygen and less than half of his breaths are machine-supported. He weighed 4 pounds, 2 ounces, which isnāt bad for being born at 32 weeks. Neither he nor Comadre are out of the woods, everyone on staff seems genuinely hopeful for both of them. Compadreās pneumonia isnāt any better, what with taking care of the rest of the family and supporting their online schooling. Now that the his wife and youngest are closer to better, he hopes to be able to rest some. Iāve been running their meal train and organizing groceries and such. My feet hurt worse than they have in a long time, but I hope to be able to give them some rest soon. I hope to be able to get back to Robin River this afternoon. Thank you for your prayers and love, for me, for them, for your own families and friends. Be safe. Be Kind. Love your neighbor.
My apologies. If weāve gotten to here, then my queue has run out of Robin River for the moment. (Though thereās enough food posts for a long time!) I spent a lot of time recently shopping, cooking, and delivering groceries for members of my family, specificallly two of my godchildren, their parents, and their siblings. The parents of the family, my compadres (not friends...my co-parents, the parents of my godchildren...there is no English word for how close we are), and their four youngest children have Covid. Compadre also has pneumonia and Comadre is also pregnant with their sixth child, BabyBoy. Their oldest son spent the summer living at his grandmaās, and though school has started, heās still at her house because he canāt come home yet. In your kindness, please pray for Compadre, Comadre, SonAge14, DaughterAge12, DaughterAge10, SonAge9, DaughterAge1.5, and SonToBeBornThisFall, as well as all who love them and are trying to care for them.
Iāll be back as soon as I can with pictures and updates from Robin River. Until then, take care of each other, take care of yourselves, and check in on your friends. Please wear your masks and keep socially distant in real life. Please get vaccinated. Love,
Elfie

Current Family Tree for all playable Robin River Residents, because I wouldnāt blame if you were lost. (No, I donāt play with the extended family mod. Vera and Daniel are a wee close for me personally, but he *is* adopted, and they arenāt first cousins,so Iām going with it. Sims are going to Sim, and thatās on them.) I cut out some of the duplications from the last time I posted this, because thereās a limit to how many times I need Romanaās face, I mean, it was just a simpler looking thing. Hopefully I didnāt make it too hard to follow. You know how to reach me if youāre confused!
Your Round 5 Random Scenarios, submitted without comment.
Some thoughts about the last four families and their randomness... The first ROS that came up for the Cwiks was the same juvenile delinquent that came up last time. Fortunately, Zach is an adult now, and so I rerolled. To making enemies. Sigh. The want you see for Griffin is one Iāve never seen before. He rolled it shortly after moving in with Thor, and the cages havenāt needed cleaning. Iāll let you know if it ever happens. Also, my apologies to @episims on behalf of Dante and Philippa. At least itās 3 kids and not 100? Deeper sigh.
