“Kovu,” she gasped, a sigh of relief falling from her lips, as she watched his figure came through the front door. Tatum wasn’t sure how long he had been gone for, but ever since he didn’t return with his group, she had been worrying about what might have happened to him. People in the house tried to assure her that Kovu could handle anything and anyone, but he was still human and she couldn’t shake the feeling that something might have happened to him. But there he was in front of her. She knew that running towards him would only fuel the rumors that had been going around in the house but at that moment the only thing she could think about was how he was here and he was safe. So she ran, her body colliding softly with his as her arms wrapped around his neck, lifting her up slightly from the ground. “You had me worried.” Her whisper become mumbled, her face buried in her hold. He was warmer than she had expected. Tatum was aware that this wasn’t something he would necessarily be open to, he hadn’t reciprocated the hug the last time she had attempted, but over the past couple of weeks she felt more brave. That, and she wanted him to know that someone cared he didn’t come back. Even if his men cared for him, none of them were willing to show it, so she would. She took a deep breath before pulling back slightly to examine his face, her eyes glancing over a few cuts that didn’t look like anything threatening. “Are you alright?”

            another day that almost took his life. another crappy day that reminded him he needed to quit. but christopher refused to give up on his work, his LIFE. for years he'd been called the best FBI agent in the city, he did everyone's job, could track down whoever he wanted, he was fit and all that shit but then he lost something that was so dear to him. his wife. he never really got over her death and for such a long time he blamed himself. he even started to get nightmares, nightmares that only got worse and worse. he couldn't cope with everything and for months they suspended him. he had to talk to a psychologist, which obviously didn't work out but he was a good liar, a good pretender so that's what he did in order to get his life back again. ------- a deep sigh escaped his lips, moving into the apartment as he headed upstairs, just to see a brunette who lived across of him sitting on the cold ground, arms wrapped around her legs. ''are you okay?'' the male muttered, clearing his throat as he faced her, a worried look written on his face. ''can i help you with something?''
