Truly the only safe place.
Waspocalypse Update
I managed to sleep last night, but honestly, only because I forgot there was a wasp still roaming freely in the confines of my basement. I woke up this morning with the tragic memory of the day before. And I still can't find it.

That is a rollercoaster of a week. Congrats on the job, but I’m sorry to hear about your friend. And aaaah, am jealous of the nose ring! I always wanted to get my nose pierced but never went through with it.
Thanks bb! And yeah, I actually already have a nose piercing - it's just a little stud right now with a gem, so I'm not getting it pierced, I'm just switching out to a different type of jewelry. I've always sort of wanted a lip piercing, myself, but I've had literally thousands of dollars of expensive dental work done and I'm too paranoid about chipping a tooth to get a lip ring. So, what can you do.

Landladyin' in the winter: an update
1) The Handyman of Awesomeness has determined what the problem was and (hopefully) fixed it. 2) A bunch of wasps had built several nests in the power meter outside. They have been evicted. One of their nests was somehow blocking the outside connection between the power line and the house, causing transmission issues. The circuits inside the house are now getting the appropriate amount of power. 3) FREAKIN' WASPS!
