I wish every little kid in the world had a mother like you :’)
Thanks. :) ((hugs)) I'm sure there are days he would tell you different though. lol!
I just raise K the opposite of how I was raised. I try to be the parent I wish I had. I make sure his head isn't filled with the crap some people still believe.
A lot of the credit goes to K though. Everyone talks about how their teenagers don't like to be hugged, ignore you completely by the time they hit 15, etc. While yes, K has his very mood swinging hormonal days (who doesn't have bad days?) he still snuggles with me on the couch, gives me hugs, banters with me, tells me I'm a good mom, etc. I haven't been completely pushed away yet. I know and he knows eventually that he'll be on his own and won't need me so much anymore. A hug will always be waiting though when he needs it. :)
Sorry for being so mushy again. He's snuggled beside me on the couch, asleep. Sleeping kids are adorable. :) Soon he'll wake up and it'll be back to doing math, I mean marathoning Torchwood and then watching the latest mutant shark movie that can in on Netflix disk. (Math is on hold until we finish Torchwood! We are completely spoiler free and need to know what happens next with "One more episode!" Repeat. Repeat.)
