Take chances, chase opportunities, don't shy away, cease the moment. At one time, the mere thought canoeing, would have absolutely terrified me. Why? I can't swim, tried and failed, and gave up too soon. Definitely something I will be pursuing in the future, for who can resist the beauty under the sea. But, given this, and not having an exit plan if the canoe topples bottoms up, I was rightfully apprehensive. However, once on that seat, the fear ceased and I occupied myself with familiarizing with the paddles. When we had good control, we sat there quiet. Middle of the lake, paddles on our laps, away from the bustle, just appreciating nature. Pelicans by the edge in their delicate bubble, the trees gently swaying. The Sun lowering towards the horizon, for one last spectacle, the lake shimmered as if embedded with diamonds. This experience, this moment would have been missed, not relished had I not taken the opportunity presented. This world, our planet has plenty to offer, sights to see, nature to cherish, joy catching you unawares. Take a break from however busy your life is, and spend it under open skies. Protect it and pass on this wealth to the future.
