#tbt and you know there is a story to this one. So, here it is told by @taragarofano who ordered this portrait a few years ago: Ax Story...It's been a while:) So, at the height of the lumbersexual fad, we bought my husband a very nice ax from a specialty outdoor boutique in NYC. Living in the Philadelphia suburbs, he didn't have much of an opportunity to use it, but his drive to be an outdoorsman was strong and would not be dampened. New grown-up toys attract other grown-ups, and so our friend Scott appeared. After a few celebratory birthday whiskeys, Tony and Scott ventured into the backyard to try out the ax. After what I remember to be less than 5 minutes, I spied Scott hobbling back toward the house, bloody flip-flop in hand. He had given himself a small but deep wound on his foot. After some conversation, we decided to glue the cut together rather than go to the ER. All was well, and Tony's ax had been blooded, which I'm sure in some ancient cultures, is an auspicious event. . . #customdrawing #ax #warton #drawing #illustration #customportrait #customart #whiskey #lumberjack #etsy #etsyfinds #etsyscout #etyshop #etsylove #etsyseller https://www.instagram.com/p/B79cYrdBObN/?igshid=u4ib1a6x4mul
