The Winter Soldier. Who would have thought someone such as him would become a variant? When the paperwork crossed Loki’s desk he couldn’t help but be delighted. An Avenger, working for the TVA, and a super soldier at that. He was sure Barnes would be an excellent asset should he choose to join forces. Of course if he chose not to work with Loki he could always go to live in the residential wing with the other variants who refused a job. If he showed extreme resistance or hurt someone else within the TVA, he would be pruned. Loki showed slight mercy, and the TVA had certainly been improved by miles compared to its previous iteration, but Barnes was a dangerous individual. If he was not with Loki, he was against him.
Loki walked into the interrogation room where he was currently being held. Of course, the file he held in his hands told him everything he needed to know about the man before him and why he was there, but he still liked to let each variant explain themselves.
“Hello Mr. Barnes,” he said, sitting down in the chair across from him. “Do you know who I am?”
