My concept of Warrior LĂșthien for @oneringnetâs February favorite character event!
Basically Iâm drawing her as a cross between the Princess LĂșthien TinĂșviel of Doriath we all know of and the military captain LĂșthien from The Histories of Middle Earth 4: The Shaping of Middle Earth, a discarded male elf character who leads a renowned company of archers and whose crest is blue with stars and swallows.
My warrior LĂșthien variation (May 2018 edit)
My warrior!LĂșthien is heavily inspired by the headcanon that Elven fashion is markedly oriental-inspired, especially in The Silmarillion (well, in LOTR movies it's like that in a lot of ways too). I found this gorgeous blue-and-black pants+tunic silk ensemble with flower embroidery (I think it might be a Vietnamese ĂĄo dĂ i?) at a 2107 convention and instantly thought of LĂșthien in a more warrior mode (as opposed to using magic and badassery alone, which is equally amazing, of course).

WIP of my third LĂșthien cosplay version - Version 3 is going to be a more Warrior!LĂșthien, with sword and more practical clothes. Also influenced by the headcanon that Elven fashion is markedly oriental-inspired, especially in The Silmarillion.

Still WIP, hairstyle and make-up in this shot are actually those of my Tenth Doctor cosplay here, back from that convention xD Will probably wear either my LĂșthien braid (rionashairblog.blogspot.com.esâŠ) or some kind of 'warrior-updo' (maybe even with a bit of a front pompadour because it kind of suits that outfit)
