Amazigh tribes warrior dance
Ahidous d’aït ouaraïne:  Danse guerrière du Moyen-Atlas, Maroc
Kassarate, Préfecture de Tahala - Province de Taza
Ahidous is a popular and collective choreographed musical performance, originating from the mountainous regions of Morocco. It is a warrior dance, symbolizing the resistance of the Amazigh tribes and its initial purpose was to celebrate victory. Now, the Ahidous is mainly performed during festive events such as weddings and baptisms. The troupe of dancers is made up of three parts: on the right, the Iffus, embodying the offensive against the enemy; in the center the Wammas, symbolizing joy and festivities, and finally the Asri on the left side which represents the rest of the warriors after a victory.
