Fully blended body with the arms blended :). Straps were to be done with retouches day 2 of painting.  I called it a night after this picture. 

Touch ups, wash, and started added stripes. Touched up the straps. Only thing on the model that got highlights yet. Then washed it was a sepia.

Sepia wash (Citadel) 

Fixed the quick silver on the armor. I like it super shiny so I don't wash the silver bits on armor most of the time.  The red is done with a khador highlight (p3) then washed with a crimson (citadel) wash.

Added sanguine highlight to the teeth to redden them slightly and give them an unclean look.

Added Umber umbral and a blue highlight to the base to make sure the colors won't distract from the model itself.

Started adding stripes. Using reference material of actual tigers and a little bit of artistic license so it doesn't have to look perfect.

Unfortunately I didn’t take more pictures of painting/flocking the base.  Was just really ready to be done.  So the final images are as such:  

Used a sculpting tool to add fur lines.  The trick to this was much simpler than I thought it would be.  A bowl of water lets the clay not stick to the tool, and quick sharp movements adds nice lines that can be “fluffed” by going the opposite direction. 

Now repeat with the other arm. 

Test fitting the arm, seeing how the fur will look. 

Step 6: Start putting all the pieces together. The legs had no spikes thankfully.  This picture shows the neck seam evened out.  

Head and arms on, tail is on.  In this picture you can see the slight gap on the tail and left leg which I fix next. 

Tail fixed.  Also added the stone to the base. 

Fixed the shoulder gap. 

All of this took another 3-4 hours to complete.  Lots of fixing on the seams.  

The base was a bit off center and needed to have modeling clay put the two pieces together so that I could even out the seam. In this picture, the head is loosely placed to get an idea of where I’m going. You can see multiple pieces in the background that will eventually be a part of the model. 

Step 3: The Face.  Had to remove the spikes on the back of the neck and add more fur.  All the dark-gray is a modeling clay.

More fur. 

Added a bit of a muzzle and glued the teeth in so that I could see where the lips could be molded.  The teeth here are HUGE (and this is AFTER taking the side teeth off and shaving them down a bit).  More work needs to be done.  You’ll note I covered the original ears then put new ones higher up.  

Step 4: The Tail.  I FLUFFED IT.  IT’S SO FLUFFY!  (Also I took off the spikes). 

Still so much to do...  

All of the above took me about 2-3 hours using the above tools. Part 2 will be posted tomorrow, and the painting of the model the next day.  =]
