The theme for day 7 it’s #warmcozy

I initially flicked through my manga collection to find a scene of the characters dressed in warm clothes but I decided to look at warm and cozy feelings instead.

This is a scene from Volume 4 of #NatsumesBookofFriends by #YukiMidorikawa where Natsume has gone and bought Toko a gift. I really enjoy this series as it is filled with many moments like this where Natsume is reflecting on the kindness of those around him and the warmth in his newfound family. This series has a special place in my collection as it helped me when I was in a rather dark stage of my life and had severe depressive episodes. Despite feeling so down on life, I felt that seeing Natsumes struggles and his positive outcomes helped inspire me to push through my own. I’m now in a much better place and it is still a favorite series of mine.

The series follows the story of a teenage boy named Natsume, who can see spirits. He inherited this ability from his late grandmother and also inherits her notebook called the Book of Friends which she used to bind spirits under her control. Several spirits are after the book to try and gain control of them but Natsume wants to protect them so rather than let the book fall into the wrong hands, and given that he has no interest in using the book for his own gain, he decides to return each of the names. It is a series that is filled with many greetings and farewells as well as strong emotions.
