-listen Carol has earned that title and also she loves it 

-she says rhodey doesn’t need to, but he does all the time 

-like if they’re in a professional environment he exclusively uses “Captain” as her designation 

(this has caused confusion with Steve, who is set straight because Rhodey says “Steve, if I ever--and I mean ever--refer to you as Captain, that means I’m about to die.”

-rhodey really likes the way her mouth quirks up when she’s called Captain, mainly because a lot of the time they just use “Danvers” or something similar 

-tony calls her all the nicknames he can churn out in ten minutes 

-so it’s kind of nice to have a consistent reminder of her title and her ranking, mainly because it means she’s on the same level as Rhodey and that’s a Very Blunt Reminder to everyone 

How I feel about this character I really like him! He’s hilarious, snarky, and a fantastic friend and hero 

All the people I ship romantically with this character Honestly nobody? I only really know Rhodey from Marvel and I don’t ship him with anyone, and I still need to get around to reading more Iron Man & Rhodey comics so I’m guessing I’ll change this answer when I get to that 

My non-romantic OTP for this character Him and Tony!!! 

My unpopular opinion about this character Mmmm I don’t know what’s unpopular and tbh I feel like I don’t even see much about Rhodey in general which is a freaking disservice 

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon. I would love to see more of Rhodey + being a hero managing his disability! It’s an important thing to see and it’s amazing to see that Rhodey is still treated like the hero he is
