I'm a poor disabled black afab trans nigga who is gay married to an immigrant, can't get a leg up because of debt, and works as a peer supporter trying to change the fucked up mental health system.
our existence is resistance. YES!
its also true that people have died and will continue to die at alarming rates from police brutality, lack of health care, being unhoused, contaminated food and water, climate change catastrophes, war, genocide, and suicide.
so its okay to focus on taking care of yourself and your mental health! its okay to feel all the anger, fear, sadness, grief, and dread that comes up. reach out if you're able to, and know you are not alone.
Sending the most love and care imaginable!

Mutual Aid and Direct Action
There is a lot you can do, including spreading information, donating to/volunteering with organizations and attending protests.
Direct Action
Encrypted Messaging
If you are planning or attending any direct actions, use encrypted messages that can’t be traced by the state.
Suggested app: signal.org
Tips for Attending Protests and Direct Actions
There is a great thread on the /punks reddit subpage but here are a few highlights:
Wear plain clothing, black is recommended (no jerseys, logos etc.)
Wear a mask - it doesn’t have to be a surgical or K95, just something to help conceal your identity (though with COVID still rampaging, masking up at big events is always a good idea)
Cover up tattoos, piercings, birthmarks, etc.
Bring water and snacks
Be aware of your surroundings
Don’t talk to the police
You have the right to remain silent - use it. If arrested, ask for a lawyer and don’t say anything else.
Be wary of people who strike up conversations, they may be plain clothes cops
