itzam wearing glasses could imply:
that the sentients, subconsciously or not, sought to imitate human behavior. maybe not so much out of Literally Wanting To Be Human, but perhaps because there was some understanding that making their "humanity" (for lack of a better term) as visibly apparent by orokin empire standards as possible was perhaps "necessary" (again, for lack of a better term) to get the empire to see the sentients as "human" and therefore as equals.
that he actually needs glasses, which possibly further points to sentients being capable of having physical disabilities that need more support than just saying "go to the More Advanced Robot mechanic-doctor-coder". there could be a whole thing about how that makes them more like other living beings and yet how The Empire™ twists that into being A Bad Thing Actually (More Lies Edition) for their own gain.
that He Like Glasses :)
