Character wardrobe study - part 6: Ateneya Bolton
Ateneya Bolton, the unhearted, Ateneya of the Dark Eye
Warm colors, head coverings and loosen dresses. This is young adult Ateneya, she's 18, she's banging a bard and she's praying three hours a day minimum. She's, in a lot of ways, the pinacle of the Bolton woman: beautiful, ghostly and silently cruel. This is easily the best her life is going to get.
Ateneya Bolton, the Mourning Bride, lady of the Godswood
Ateneya has just hitted rock bottom in her eyes: her younger brother is dead and she doesn't even get to be the heir, her lover has been killed by her own father, she's pregnant with a bastard and about to get married to a dothraki merchant. She claims the Godswood of the Boltons as her space and takes a vow of dressing in mourning until a daughter sits at the throne of Dreadfort. She's 23.

Ateneya has oficially lost the plot by this point in the narrative. She has tried to kill Lucía four times and now is trying to get her married to Robb Stark, she has married Eliza to her cousin, she spends almost every waking your at the Godswood and barely looks at her children other than to admonish them. They start to call her the Raven because she wears a cape of all the feathers of the ravens she sacrifices to the heart tree.

Alexandra the Half, the White Rose
Flowers! Greens! Soft pinks! Long blond hair! This is Westero's Regina George and she's about to put anyone else's nameday's just to shame. She's rich, she's pretty, she will kill it. There isn't much more to her than this, at least in this stage.

She spins a tale of being the bastard daughter of a nobleman in the Reach, and wanting to meet her father now that her mother died of greyscale, gaining the mocking name of the beggar lady.

Character wardrobe study - part 5: Maaele Lannister
Maaele of Casterly Rock, Claimant of House Lannister, the Young Lion
Maaele's style is very much a show of riches. He uses a lot of reds and goldens, some purple and blue sprinkled in because they are terribly expensive. This is a highly insecure, frail boy trying to step into the massive shoes of Tywin Lannister, no less.

Hot boy summer Maaele my absolute despised (/aff). He's winning about having to marry Lucía, he's going to brothels only to look the part of a "so over it" straight man, he's trying to outcunt everyone in King's Landing, he's getting bitchslapped by Tywin.
Maaele Lannister, the Denied Lord, the Enchanted Lion
The king is dead, Maaele is about to get married and he doesn't want to be here. Still, he plays the part of a enamoured man good enough that people start to think Lucía has put some sort of Dothraki magics on him. Someone get him a drink or kill him already, please. "The Denied Lord" means two things, depending on the story I end up telling it means that he either got married to Lucía but they still haven't had sex, or that he died in his wedding night.

Alexander the Half, the Crippled Flower, the son of the Dragon Bitch
Gender fuckery, flowers, white and gold, this is Alex forcing the medieval gender binary as much as she dares. Lots of tunics and long, flowy, clothes, easy to clasp and unclasp clothes because her hands tend to cramp up because of his cane (yes. I'm projecting) Confortable and not too intrinsic, this is Highgarden's Alex.

This is Alex after a few years of studying under Varys to become the next master of whispers when either Varys dies or they need a replacement. Taking a page out of his teacher's book, Alex is always seen in these flashy, hard-to-miss outfit, and still, somehow, being able to blend in the dark.

Varys has gone missing and his student is now part of the small council. He helps her sister run away, covering her tracks as well as he can. Alex seems loyal to the Lannisters, at least to Cersei; while his loyalties might lie really on the lap of one Lucía Bolton.

Elizabetta Bolton, first born daughter, Clear-Eyed Beauty
Eliza was never the wild child Lucía was, she was a born lady, the perfect bride since she had an age to think about it. She, in a lot of ways, is a Bolton Sansa: full of wishful thinking and love for beautiful things, but with ancient rage of the Boltons deep in her bones.
Lady bride Ryswell, young lady of the Rills
Eliza gets married to Benjicot Ryswell, son of Rodrik Ryswell, at age 15. It's, of course, an arranged marriage but both the groom and the bride seem happy enough about it. For Elizabetta, this is the marriage of the songs, the one that will save her: take her away from Dreadfort, from the terrible flayed man, from blood curling screams and nightmares of torture.

Eliza gets pregnant not long after her wedding. Sadly, she suffers a miscarriage three weeks before her due date, this will be repeated multiple times over the years, breaking her heart and marriage, once even giving birth to a stillborn. But the Mother seems to finally pity her, because she gives birth during the Autumn of 299 to two twins: the sickly Eddara and Alyn Ryswell, blesedly alive.
