i know it's 5 years overdue but i'm just going to say it: every single "Wamapoke Indian" joke in the show Parks and Rec is inexcusibly racist. not one has enough merit to justify their existance in the show

You know who my favorite Parks & Rec character is? Ken Hotate, Wamapoke Chief.
That man is always smooth and in the words of Leslie Knope "he really plays white people like a fiddle."

I have a headcanon that Leslie Knope 100% speaks Wamapoke (because let's face it, she loves Pawnee so much that she's obviously going to learn the native language when she was like, 12) so she 100% knows when Ken is fucking around with people
I'm an Ohioan. This is really wonderful.

This is a weird one! If you felt uncomfortable about the way Riverdale tried to introduce Native issues but aren't exactly sure how to articulate that discomfort and also aren't totally sure it's even a warranted discomfort, this is the conversation for you! Listen as Jackie and Steph draw very few conclusions, but talk in depth about the Uktena, Parks and Recreation's Wamapoke tribe, and then in true Riverdale form, squeeze in 2 minutes of Josie and Kevin at the end!
Treat yo Self or to someone else just in time for holiday season!
