always exhausting to deal with one of those people whoâs convinced that like 80% of the electorate actually agrees with bernie sanders about everything and that the only reason the dsa canât get everything it wants on a silver platter is that nancy pelosi is just too much of a lily-livered liberal to give it to them
Really not a fan of the way that the problems in the MDN Javascript tutorials just expect you to pick up how to, you know, fucking manipulate a webpage from, uh, somewhere???
Like, look at this shit:
Some of the questions below require you to write some DOM manipulation code to complete them â such as creating new HTML elements, setting their text contents to equal specific string values, and nesting them inside existing elements on the page â all via JavaScript.
We haven't explicitly taught this yet in the course, but you'll have seen some examples that make use of it, and we'd like you to do some research into what DOM APIs you need to successfully answer the questions. A good starting place is our Manipulating documents tutorial.
If I need to do this other tutorial before this, why is the other tutorial not before this??? The whole fucking point of going through these things is that I donât have to go fumbling around the Internet in search of a good explanation of how querySelectors work and you canât even be assed to do that. Fuck you.
Just saw someone call the officially licensed KFC dating sim âfake wokeâ and I think thatâs enough internet for today.
âCringe culture is dead! Take part in whatever interests you have without shame, unless those interests are shipping incestuous or underage pairings in which case go fuck yourselfâ is certainly a take that I had to see with my own two eyes today.

@staff hey fucking tell me when I hit your stupid like limit instead of just silently refusing to process my requests
this approach to handling disallowed actions is bullshit when it comes to dealing with blocking and itâs not any better here
saw people complaining about a woke thinkpiece about how joe the working-class white guy is the real oppressor or whatever and iâm just sort of amazed that anyone cared enough to get incensed. and iâd like to think this reaction is because iâm emotionally mature or whatever and maybe itâs that but mostly itâs just. exhaustion. i donât care about this. i donât have the energy to care about this. if i had the energy to care about this iâd put it into something else.
Thereâs an interesting-looking thread about Hong Kong floating around on my dash but every time I try to read it I get hung up on the fact that itâs all in the replies to some lunatic post about how the US not declaring war on China over Hong Kong will domino theory directly into the US failing to intervene in the Chinese invasions of Taiwan, South Korea and Japan and eventually just rolling over and accepting the annexation of entire US states like some kind of deranged revival of pre-WWI invasion literature about how England is in danger of being conquered by the Hun because it is too soft and weak.
