Learning to animate in Adobe premiere by creating a walk cycle with a robot that was created in Photoshop. 

This was then put into Premiere, making sure that each body part stayed as a single layer so that they could be animated separately.

This was done by rotating and moving each part of the body over a 2 second time duration, using key frames to allow several different movements over that time. To make sure that the robot’s arms and legs looked like they were moving properly anchor points also had to be changed so that when rotating it looked like the were moving from the shoulder joint and not the centre of the arm.

Once the initial cycle was created, a background could then be set up in a different sequence along with the additional task of adding extra objects into the scene - for my walking cycle I used a forest background and added two pngs to the foreground- with these also moving over time to show that the robot is actually waling forward.
