Tutu Sweeney - Party in the Ghetto b/w Walking Forward
Tutu is a Los Angeles based funk, jazz, and soul multi-instrumentalist and singer who has played with some of LA’s elite musicians, including Aloe Blacc. This release finds Tutu handling both instrumentation and vocal duties on a pair of upbeat funk and soul tracks ahead of his official 2018 album release of Lessons of the Ghetto. While Tutu brings his own unique musical brand to the scene, these tracks could best be described as ‘Prince meets Jamiriquai’.
Side A – “Party in the Ghetto” - Produced and arranged by Tutu Sweeney. All instrumentation and vocals by Tutu, except drums by Te’Amir Sweeney and bass by Jason Aguja. (album track)
Side B – “Walking Forward” - Produced and arranged by Tutu Sweeney. All instrumentation and vocals by Tutu. (single only track)
