ahh hello!! you can answer this privately if you want ;w; is it okay if you could explain the classes in wakfu for me? if thats too much for you you dont have to!! thank you for your time ;w;
Honestly, i recently discovered a pretty good wiki that makes a better job than me at explaining classes quirks, so i really recommend you take a look at this. It's a wiki tho, it's not perfection, so use it wisely.
*Edit* I've been reminded that the Forums do a great job for that too, thought they're more suited to give you a guide to evolve your character.
Now iâll still give a quick resume for each classes so you know what youâre dealing without reading the whole wiki.
If youâre a newbie, please do the tutorial of the game.
See under the cut
Iop
These redheads are the basic close fighter class, if you wanna go in a group of enemies and go wild, this is for you.
They have a good amount of HP, and are one of the strongest classes of the game. Close and mid range attacks are ok,but long ranged attacks are not their thing.Theyâre also buffers, meaning that they can boost their capacities, and in their case that mean they try to either get more health, either get stronger.
Nothing more to say. Simple class, simple to use, and simple is Iop.
Easy to play with for newbies. Going solo can be very fun with this class.
Cra
Your average Legolas. Have less HP than a Iop but are pretty good damage dealers. If youâre the type who like to fight from far away, prefer this class. Melee is their Achillesâs talon.Theyâre considered sometimes as God modded since itâs not an unusual sight to see a Cra kill a non-melee oriented character with a higher level than him.Theyâre also pretty cheated on Dofus and made my life a nightmare there. You can guess that theyâre my least favorites, but theyâre good so i canât really say itâs a bad class,itâs a pretty good one.One of the newbiesâs favorite. Favorite of solo players too.
Sadida
One of the weird but oldest classes, they are voodoo dolls summoners and are nature oriented magicians. The strenght of a Sadida is pretty average but the character is flexible, they can go melee or fight from medium range fight or fight mostly with dolls and go on a more healer oriented path. When they specialise with dolls they donât have strong strikes but the dolls make a good tactical advantage.
Might be a bit rough at first for a newbie, but manageable. Solo mode possible but not easy.
Sram
Stealth Masters and Professionals of backstabbing. Classic assassin type, ninja on the side. They donât do heavy damages with front blows but they can set traps, go invisible, and create doubles. And of course when they backstab, it hurts like a bitch. You can go full damage or full steal or simply be impossible reach by your enemies.Accessible for newbies, but if youâre not really a tactical player, you might favor another class. Solo is ok with them, but avoid enemies that are too big for you.
Feca
The tanker and buffer class. Used to be hardcore to play in the old games and became more accessible. They can go down a tank class (they are the toughest motherfuckers to kill), go on a damage path, and go on a Buffer path ( support oriented if you rather)
Not the class iâd recommend to a beginner. If you go on a tank path, while youâre going to be unkillable, your fights are going to take time and the damage path might feel unfulfilling when you compare to other classes damageâs capacity. Solo mode will ask for a lot of motivation.
Eniripsa
Healer class who can go in Debuff mode. Yes theyâre fairies, they might not be the strongest type but they are always wanted in teams.Eniripsas can poison their enemies or just go full healer. But even so, theyâre no match face to strong opponents. An eniripsa need to stay in backline and/or be protected by the team.Again like the Feca, i wouldnât recommend them to a newbie, except if youâre good at socialising. Solo with this class will be frustrating.
Enutrof
The treasure hunter class with a transformation spell in bonus. The enutrofs are one of the few weird classes of the game.
Those gramps are at first a looting oriented class. Their damage capacities are average and can transform in to were-moles âŠI wasnât kidding when i said they were weird.
Not an easy character to get by, but can be very fun to play. The solo mode is okish with that character.
Ecaflips
Yes, in wakfu you can be a furry. The Ecaflips are traditionally a warrior/gambler class. A full fledged Ecaflip plays everything on every strikes meaning that he can double his damages and give bonus to his team as he can nullify these damages and give a malus to his team. Needless to say, the traditional ecaflip might not be the teamâs favorite, and generally is kept around in case they meet a strong enemy and need a little help with luck.
Hopefully the class can also go on a path where they can self heal and deal damage or be pro at critical hits.
The class is linked to tarot cards, each new turn a tarot card brings malus, luck or nothing at all. A good ecaflip need to know these cards to avoid to fuck up his spell. Some Ecaflips donât really give a damn about the tarot cards but they can be in the way when you play. Being aware of their effect is a serious advantage.
Newbies might be a tiny bit surprised to see that they spells donât always have the same result to a turn or another. Solo mode with an ecaflip might ask for a bit of a work but youâll probably never get bored with that class. You might also get a lot of frustration from them too.
Sacrier
A bit like the Iops, they are pretty simple. You hit them, they become stronger. These guys are the typical berserker class and one of the strongest in the game. They can go support, damage or tank, and either way, when they go somewhere, it hurts and you can always hear a maniacal laugh. The basic strength of a sacrier is good but when hurt, they can easily double their strikes damages. And of course, they have an excellent HP level.Sacriers are not very good at dealing with long range enemies thought.
Newbies might find them tricky, theyâre less easy to move than a Iop and not very good with enemies staying far from them. My advice : avoid the tofus as much as you can, these little fuckers are pro at hit and run.
Solo might be a bit frustrating, but getting on highlevel might be just glorious.
Osamodas
This is the class of beasts summoners and the other class able to transform.
The classical use of the osamodas come more with his pets than himself. You can compare him to a pokemon trainer who take part in fights with his monster and who can buffer him. The difference is he catch his monster with another monster, the Gobgob, and that you have to be careful on your choice of pet since itâll mirror your way of fighting. The other difference is that youâll have to level up a little before controlling your summoned pets.
But the osamodas can also say no to pets and go into a fusion mode with his Gobgob to go in Dragon form which is pretty cool. (no you canât do a âfus ro dahâ in the game iâm sorry)
Iâve seen a lot of newbies having fun with that class, and for having tried it, itâs pretty ok to start with. Solo sound pretty possible.
Xelor
My.Favorite.Class.Xelors are mages of time, and time in this game is translated by actions points. Which you need to create spells.
Xelors donât really have a lot of HP points and their damages can be to average to good but, they make it up by being able to spam their attacks by generating action points.
Basically a xelorâs speciality is to gain action points for themselves and their allies and force their enemies to lose their own action point.
This is a class that can work on a support path and on damage path as well.On the side, a Xelor can momify a fallen ally for a few turns and take control of them. They can also move on the map pretty easily, thanks to their Dial.
Newbies might be surprised about the fact their spells work differently turns to turns. Xelors woks with the TickTock mode, one turn youâre on Tick and one turn on Tock, and each mode change your spells a little, but nothing terrible.I wouldnât advise to start with a Xelor on a first play tho. Try them when youâll understand the gameâs mechanism a little better.Iâm currently going solo with my xelor character. Itâs not really easy but iâm having fun.I wonât lie, itâs definitely easier with people around tho, but itâs possible to reach an honest level without raging much.Tip:Things may go easier if you use your basic sidekick when youâre alone and low level, and you get one pretty soon in the game.
Pandawa
The drunken master class. LITTERALLY. And also the second furry class.
Eeeeh Pandawas are flexible weirdoes, theyâre okish at support, theyâre okish at damage. They can either do tanker things and protect their allies by carrying them or stay away from the enemies.Their strength is average.
Tbh, itâs not a class i know well, i havenât played enough with one to understand them. Theyâre fairly popular tho, so going Solo with them seems ok.
Rogue
The bandit classâŠWho somehow are little mix between cra and srams.(though the sram part is less surprising since they have the same god)
Rogues can have different style of fighting depending how their player choose to evolve them, they can fight in close range, mid range, and/or large range. Rogues are guns lovers, like daggers and have a knack for bombs. You can always plays as a gunslinger or like bomberman.
Rogue are pretty flexible in term of gameplay, and while theyâre not the best damage dealers around , they have a good range of damage.Theyâre very ok with melee.
Rogues are also a class loved by newbies, because they allow different way of gameplay, having tried a bit myself, i confirm that theyâre pretty fun. Solo with them sound pretty fun.
Foggernaut
Another weird class who is single gendered as male, but technically, youâre a non-binary character. I suppose they were too lazy to make a genderless class that looked really genderless (iâm sorry non-binary people).
But, if you want to be a steam-medieval cyborg, you came into the good game.Iâll be honest, iâm not very aware of the foggernautâs capacities, itâs a class that i never really tried.
The foggernaut is special, itâs the only class to use Stasis based spells, the equivalent of the yin in the world of wakfu, where the yang is..wellâŠthe WakfuâŠÂ
If necessary iâll make a quick explanation on that.
What i know tho is that itâs not a class very good for support, meaning that they tend to be a little too destructive without un-harming their allies.
So you can guess it, itâs a class thatâs encouraged to play in soloâŠWhich might be the only class to work this way.
Masqueraider
These mask lovers are fighters dealing with Damage on close and mid range.Again itâs not a class iâm very enlightened with.Theyâre not tankers obviously and probably are closer in terms of strength to Pandawas.Â
What makes the masqueraider special are his masks, you start with the classic mask, which is what you look like when youâre not in fight mode, the coward mask and the psychopath mask. Each mask gives you different effects, meaning that the masqueraider might be a little tactical to use.
Theyâre not bad at brawling and when i played with one, i did have a lot of fun, and i donât think a newbie would have much trouble to play with that class. I canât tell for solo modes, but seeing that this class is warrior oriented, that shouldnât be a problem.
And the soon to be
Eliatropes (or eliotropes as iâve been seeing, we donât know if itâs an error or done in purpose)
Well these guys are supposed to come in the game by december the 9th, but eliatropes for people who are aware of the story of wakfu are not really a new thing.
It is possible that the class will become inspired from another game, Wakfu the guardians, game that followed the episodes of the anime show Wakfu. In there, you could only play as an eliatrope.
From what we know from them, theyâll probably be able to move on the board pretty much how they want and, if Ankama think about it a little, wonât be big punchers. But it is possible that theyâll create death ray.
I think i covered a good part
If some people would add they pov on some character iâll gladly add these to the list.
