I'm turning 23 in 3 days and I get these thoughts every now and then.

People say that "patience is a virtue", and I agree, it is. But having to wait so long for something that you want so bad, without a guarantee, can do something to a person. It raises doubts and questions. And sometimes the waiting can even break your heart. It can tear you apart and make you wonder if this is all worth it. All I want right now is to know that you want to be with me. I know that distance and our busy lives makes staying in touch difficult sometimes, and that's surprisingly okay with me. I just want to know if we want the same things, or if we're on completely different pages and I'm just sitting here waiting for something that is never going to happen. I never thought it would be this hard. Time really can break a waiting heart.
