I’m actually 5ft 8 in!  I find it really interesting that you thought I was shorter though, because I wasn’t sure what sort of vibes I give off here xD

1. Zuko/Katara from Avatar: The Last Airbender. I will be on my deathbed, or bleeding out on a battlefield, or what have you, and I will still utter with my last breath “They should have gotten together.” The apple of my eye, the diamond in the rough, I will go down with this ship and then commandeer it like Davy Jones and wreak havoc on the seas. 

2. Gilbert/Elizaveta from Hetalia. Listen, I know. I too hate myself.

3. Paul/Emma from The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals. I shan’t elaborate.

4. Although I don’t ship it anymore, I do have to give a shout out to Loki/Natasha from the MCU because I owe like.......98% of my online presence to that ship. I’ll always have a soft spot for it. And listen....if a fic presented itself to my interests...I’d read it. 

5. Does Will Schofield/His Wife from 1917 count if 100% of it is because of my own story and I’m struggling to find other pairings that I really liked? Does that make me conceited?

Funnily enough, this section was never meant to happen!

Because I originally felt like this chapter was the last chapter, and this would have combined with the next chapter, the bombing of Reading would have been MUCH shorter. Which I cannot believe that I thought I could get away with that, because I always kind of knew that Eloise would get affected. But I also really wanted to keep this story going lol, so I didn’t want it to end and so I decided to make it longer lol. And it worked out! Because I didn’t think to make Will have to confront this in this particular way until I started writing it. And then I couldn’t believe that I nearly missed out on it. 

I was also trying to make sure that this wouldn’t be too similar to Will’s emotions from the previous chapter--William is still frustrated and scared and angry and grieving, but this time he is angry at himself. Absolutely, horribly upset with himself, like all the anger he has towards God in ch3 is in a sense him taking it out on God but really he is most angry with himself. Because he wants to have control, he wants to have the power to protect his family and he does not. He has to confront that about himself because for all these years he depended his sense of self on what he can do for his family, how he can take care and provide for them. When that is taken away, who is he? And he is afraid of that answer, because he doesn’t know it. Another big question for him is--has he ever been that for his family in the first place, or was he fooling himself? 

I shan’t elaborate on the last bit, because it is open to interpretation, but I kept this reverberating line that echoes in my head--”You are the lifter of my head.” And he has the strength to make it at least another day, and that may feel difficult but that’s enough for now, and the next day will have its new mercies to make it through that day, and it is so for the next day, and the next--no more, and no less.

Header: A photo I had taken in Japan in the countryside. That was the view from my window! 

URL: If I wanted any semblance of social media continuity, it should have been something related to LadyCharity. But I didn’t think of that when I first chose my URL and at this point it’s too late to change it. But it’s a bastardization  spin on Shakespeare’s “A horse! A horse! My kingdom for a horse!” from Richard III, instead of a king who would trade his whole kingdom for a horse, I would (theoretically) trade a kingdom for a pen because I’m a ‘*~*~*~writer~*~*~*.’ 

My blog title: I kind of have two, the one that shows up on the tab would be ‘just my soul responding,’ which is a song from Amber Run, and in theory a reflection of what this blog could be. The other title is ‘you too shall be psyche,’ which is a repeated line from Till We Have Faces from C.S. Lewis, a really compelling retelling of the myth of Eros and Psyche from the point of view of Psyche’s sister that really digs deep into what it means to have faith in a higher being. I really loved that line because of how the main character wrestles with that cryptic line that the gods (specifically and presumably, Eros/Cupid) give her, what she first interprets to be out of fear and pain and bitterness, and what she ultimately realises it means.

I don’t think she’ll even apologise for it, sadly. She’s liked a tweet, not tweeted it herself. She’ll probably unlike it once her pr personnel get wind of this and pretend it never happened 🙄

You would think that McLaren, F1 Academy or Prema would have given her some basic media training , and like I'm not expecting a teenager to be aware of every single thing under the sun, but some basic empathy towards other minorities would be nice.
