Involves famous action heroine!Luka Lehane and reclusive bookworm nerd!Jayme Barnes.
Also a lot longer than I intended. Also, something I should have been typing tomorrow instead of typing now. For real this time, Iâm going to bed.
Also, club gear for Luka and Jayme.
Oh, and another set of visually important aspects to pay attention to here and here. (Iâm dying. Theyâre both too pretty and I was looking up photos and holy crap, just all the photos of them.)
Luka was in New York City for a fair amount of time, filming the latest and greatest action movie. (And yes, of course she made sure she was the lead. She wasnât in the business to play the two-bit lover of the action hero. She played the action hero, period.)
While she didnât miss some parts of Los Angeles, she definitely missed the rather nonchalant paparazzi, so used to seeing stars that they were barely even phased. Apparently New York reporters were a little more overzealous and she was already sick of them. But given that it was technically their fault that she ever met Jayme Barnes, she supposed she couldnât be too angry.
Really, the bookstore was a tiny little thing, halfway hidden on a street corner and she probably never would have noticed it, let alone entered it if she hadnât been trying to escape the paparazzi.
Wincing as she noted the woman behind the counter eyeing her, she waited for the inevitable fan freakout as she was recognized. It wouldnât be the worst thing, especially not compared to the paparazzi outside.
âWelcome to my bookstore. Can I help you with anything?â
Surprised by the utter lack of emotion in the womanâs voice, before she could help herself, Luka blurted out, âIâm Luka Lehane.â
The womanâs only response was a slow blink.
âOkay. Hello. Iâm Jayme Barnes. Like I said, welcome to my bookstore. Can I help you with anything?â The only change in her tone was a bit more sarcasm.
âUm, uh...no thanks. Iâm good.â she assured the woman, Jayme, before going to look around the shop. It was actually a cute little shop. And held some rather rare things. One wall at the back of the store held a huge collection of first editions on display.
âLittle dangerous putting these out in the open like this, isnât it?â she called to the Jayme, âI mean, what happens if someone steals one and runs off?â
âThen they donât get far.â Something about the brunetteâs voice made her chuckle, even if that same deadpan tone warned her to not touch the books, to not even look at them.Â
Continuing to browse, she came across books in different languages, books in
âHey, couldnât help but notice that you donât have Fifty Shades of Gray. Whatâs the deal?â Luka teased with a grin, sliding a pile of books she hadnât actually intended to buy over to Jayme. The other woman rolled her eyes.
âYes, thatâs because this is a book shop, not a porn shop. Try Greenwich, thereâs the Rainbow Station and Iâm sure youâll find all you need there.â Itâs the cheekiest thing sheâs said, and Luka canât help but note that the Rainbow Station doesnât sound like a place for straight porn.Â
Alright, sue her, for all that Jayme seems indifferent and rather cold, sheâs also rather gorgeous and Luka would not mind taking a break from the endless string of men that her publicist pushed at her for some reason or another. âDating the man voted Peopleâs most eligible bachelor will be great publicity!â âHeâs your costar, people love a good on-set love story!â âNew to Hollywood, putting him on your arm will gain you both some attention!â All her publicist had really done was assure the public that Luka was a relentless playgirl dating all the men of Hollywood.
Hearing Jayme clear her throat, Luka shook her head, giving her charming grin as she took the bag with her books in it and left the store.Â
She was pleasantly surprised that Jayme didnât even ask for an autograph or a photo before she left.
-----
âShould I be concerned with what youâre wearing?âÂ
Luka laughed, glancing down at herself. Sheâd just come off set, only a few streets away. She would have changed, but she was filming again in a half hour and the SWAT gear was rather irritating to put on and off. Sure it had gotten her some extra attention on her way.Â
âNah. Just something for the next movie.â Jayme raised an eyebrow, and Luka blinked at her in surprise, âI mean...you do realize that Iâm an actress, been in quite a few things over the last few years?âÂ
âI...ah, donât watch a lot of movies.â Jayme admitted, tone finally showing a bit of sheepishness. And here Luka thought the woman completely unshakeable. And wow, she really must not pay attention to movies, because Luka had been in the last three box office hits. She was almost offended that Jayme didnât even recognize her.Â
âMore of a book person, eh?â she guessed with a grin, causing the other woman to roll her eyes.
âWhat gave me away?â she responded, deadpan in a way that fans never were with Luka.
Okay, she could appreciate that Jayme had never even heard her name or seen her face. It was rather refreshing, actually. Â
----
âJeez, itâs like youâre the only one who works here.â Luka declared when she visited the book shop again and saw Jayme behind the counter again.Â
âI am.â
âReally? Thatâs insane. I saw your hours, every day, even weekends? What do you do for fun?â
âRead.â
âOkay, should have expected that.â Luka chuckled, âAnd friends?â
Jayme was silent for a moment, before replying, â...thereâs Natalia, the barista from the coffee shop down the street. We used to date, so she knows that I tend to get distracted and forget to eat, so she brings me coffee and biscotti from time to time.â Ignoring the strange hint of jealousy that this random Natalia dated Jayme, who didnât seem the type to want to date anyone, Luka focused on the fact that the brunetteâs only human interaction was with an ex who fed her and customers.Â
âYou have to hang out with your friends outside of work sometimes, right?â Luka asked, tone on the brink of disbelief.Â
âAnd do what?â Jayme seemed genuinely curious.Â
âOh my god.â Shaking her head, Luka quickly decided, âOkay. Youâre going out with me this Friday.âÂ
âI have work.â was Jaymeâs automatic answer, and Luka got a view into what her friends must go through.
âNo you donât.â Luka decided firmly, plowing right on even as Jayme opened her mouth to object, âYou can take one night off. And you are. Where do you live? Iâll pick you up.âÂ
Jayme looked remarkably miserable at the prospect of going out with her as she pointed upstairs. Luka rolled her eyes. It wasnât like this would be the worst thing to ever happen to her. Jeez, that misery was really misplaced.Â
----
Luka would never admit how long she had spent getting ready for tonight. She had bought a new dress and spent what felt like hours doing her makeup and hair. It had taken all her control to not call her stylist to request help. âWhat are you wearing?â
No denying it, Winter looked amazing. Instead of the usual fluffy sweater and jeans combo she sported (which, really, was pretty nice too,) she was wearing a pretty blouse and dress pants. She looked beautiful, but also like she was going to a job interview.
Realizing that Jayme hadnât responded, Luka finally took the time to glance to her face. Winterâs mouth was dropped open just a little bit and she could practically see the drool coming. After all, this dress was rather revealing. Adjusting the cut of her dress over her breasts, Luka pointedly cleared her throat, smirk curling on her lips. Jaymeâs eyes snapped up to her own and the brunette blushed, quickly speaking up to stop Luka from making a comment.Â
âWhatâs wrong with what Iâm wearing?â Jayme asked, âI mean, itâs not like you told me what weâre doing. What am I supposed to wear?âÂ
âI mean...I thought it was implied when I said I was picking you up at eight at night, that we were going clubbing.â Luka should have known better. âI was thinking club wear, like my dress. You like?â she teased, smirk widening as Jayme flushed just a little bit brighter. âDo you need help?â Luka offered, not letting the flustered woman suffer too much.
âI can dress myself.â Jayme snapped, spinning on her heel and stomping back up the stairs, acting rather like a child. Luka blew out a breath, amused despite herself. As she waited, her lips curled up into a grin as she recalled the look on Jaymeâs face when she saw her.Â
Luka wondered if Jayme would be willing to go on a date or two.Â
It took her a remarkably short amount of time, especially given just how changed she looked when she came downstairs. The dress still wasnât entirely appropriate for a club, but holy shit, it didnât matter.
The boots. And her legs.Â
âYou like?â Jaymeâs smug voice interrupted her staring, but unlike the brunette, Luka slowly let her eyes drag up her body to her face.Â
âI do. You look hot as hell.â Despite her smugness, Jayme still flushed, and before she could help herself Luka reached out to run a finger lightly over the other womanâs cheek. Hearing the hitch in Jaymeâs breath, Luka swallowed hard, murmuring, âStarting to see the benefit of staying home...â
Jaymeâs eyes darkened and Luka inhaled sharply as the woman took two quick strides across the room, grabbed her by the hips, backed her into the counter and pressed their lips together. A remarkable dominant streak that Luka truly hadnât expected, but certainly didnât object to if the way she dug her fingers into the other womanâs hair and pulled her closer.Â
Needless to say, they never made it to the club that night.Â
----
Luka sat up in bed, yawning and wrapping a sheet around her chest, hair rather a mess. She could see her dress, strewn over the nightstand, and her heels, kicked off in the doorway, but she couldnât see Jayme.Â
Hearing the woman in question clear her throat, Luka glanced over her shoulder, spotting the woman sitting in an armchair in the corner, wearing only a tank top and panties, legs pulled close to her body, a book spread in front of her, and of all things, a large parrot perched on her shoulder.Â
Lukaâs breath caught as she saw the gorgeous grin on her face, finger running along her bottom lip. âYou look hot as hell.â Jayme teased, âSitting in my bed, wearing nothing but a sheet.âÂ
âOh?â Luka smirked, standing and shuffling over to her, teasingly letting the sheet slip a few inches down, showing off her cleavage. Jayme leaned forward, licking her lips. Luka reached forward, running her hands through the brunetteâs hair.Â
And promptly yelping and rearing back as the bird on Jaymeâs shoulder screeched and nipped her hand.Â
Needless to say, the morning didnât turn out quite as well as the night before.
---
Still, after their night together, Luka visited Jaymeâs book store every day between shooting. They talked about everything.Â
----
âFortney is a red eclectus parrot.â Jayme declared, almost randomly if not for the photo book of birds Luka had been flipping through.
âAh yes, Fortney. The angry bird who didnât like me.â Luka joked.Â
âSheâs not angry. She was just startled.â Jayme corrected with a roll of her eyes. After their night together, Luka couldnât help but notice that the woman was a lot more free with her expression, and had a wicked sarcastic sense of humor that she hadnât expected. She loved it.Â
âI still have a booboo!â Luka objected with an exaggerated pout, holding up her cut finger for Jaymeâs inspection. Rolling her eyes again, Jayme leaned forward, kissing her finger, pausing before she pulled away, the woman raised an eyebrow at Luka, smirk only partially hidden by Lukaâs hand. Tongue peaking out of her mouth, she pressed a firmer kiss against the pad of her finger, eyes dark as they stared into Lukaâs.Â
After a few seconds, she pulled back and went back to her book, seemingly unaffected by what she had just done. Her tone belied that though, smug and amused and heated.Â
âBetter?â
âHmm....not yet. I think I need more kisses.â Â
----
âLos Angeles traffic is the worst.â
âYouâve been in New York City for how long and you can still make that claim? I refuse to believe you.â
âIâm dead serious. Did I ever tell you about the time I crashed into a tracker trailer?â
âYou crashed?â The genuine concern in Jaymeâs face melted Lukaâs heart.Â
âItâs fine. I have a â67 impala. Itâs an old enough car that it could probably withstand a nuclear holocaust with nothinâ but a scratch.â
ââ67? Howâd you come across that one? Did it come with the small-block V8 or did you have to search that engine out too? I got a â78 Harley-Davidson, but I donât know, old motorcycles and their parts tend to be easier to find.â
Luka was pretty sure she fell in love that very moment.Â
----
âIâm super jealous. My costarâs twin brought him lunch today, right on set. Wish I had that kind of service.
âIâm part of a set of triplets. I have two sisters.â The expression on Jaymeâs face made it look like she wanted to take that back the second she blurted it out, and she continued with, âWeâre not close though.â Her expression changed, warning Luka against asking more, but the stubborn woman ignored that.Â
âReally? Why not?â
Sighing, Jayme shared, âOneâs in the military and always out on duty, the other moved to Russia and hasnât deigned to speak with either of us since then.â That was rather more candid than Luka had been expecting, and she frowned at the upset she saw in Jaymeâs eyes, though her face retained her usual blandness.Â
Not really knowing what to say about that, Luka simply squeezed her hand, grinning as Jaymeâs eyes softened slightly, something she wouldnât have even noticed if she wasnât paying very close attention to her.Â
----
A gorgeous redhead was leaving the store as Luka entered. A gorgeous redhead who stopped, looked her over with a critical gaze, caught her eyes and nodded shortly.Â
Blinking, Luka narrowed her eyes at the woman as she walked pass, shaking her head. What the hell was that all about?Â
Jayme glanced up from where she was at the counter, picking at a salad and smirking at her. Luka raised an eyebrow, leaning on the counter across from her.Â
âI think thatâs the closest anyoneâs gotten to approval from Natalia.â Jayme shared, tone conversational. Lukaâs eyes widened and she glanced back through the door, but the redhead was already gone.Â
âThat was Natalia? Your ex-girlfriend?â Jeez, Luka had to wonder why theyâd ever break up. Theyâd make a beautiful couple.
âYup.â
âWhy was she here?â Her tone came out a little more confrontational than she intended.Â
Jayme raised an eyebrow, lifting the salad as an example. Right. Natalia brings her lunch.Â
âI can bring you lunch.â Luka grumbled, crossing her arms over her chest. She wished that she could control the jealousy she felt brewing. After all, she and Jayme had only slept together once and hadnât even gone on a date or anything since then.Â
There was obvious amusement on Jaymeâs face as she registered Lukaâs jealousy, but all she did was shrug, and comment, âSure. If youâre not too busy. Wouldnât want to distract my girlfriend from her work.âÂ
Luka preened, jealousy forgotten in the face of Jaymeâs declaration. Leaning across the counter, she pulled her girlfriend into a kiss, ignoring Jaymeâs chuckle as she pulled her closer.Â
---
Really, it was only a matter of time before some member of the paparazzi figured out where Luka snuck off to whenever she eluded them. It was just shocking it hadnât happened sooner than this.Â
âLuka! Luka Lehane! Welcome to New York!âÂ
Wincing, Luka pulled away from Jayme, schooling her expression into a friendly smile. Turning to the man and his camera, she nodded, âGood to be here.â
The questions were fairly innocuous at first, how was her movie going, had she visited all the tourist spots, and, after noticing just where Luka had taken refuge, what was she reading. Finally, the question sheâd been waiting for hit.Â
âFind any guys in NYC to date? Your last relationship ended a couple of months ago. Have you moved on since then?âÂ
Tensing, Luka hummed, buying time for an answer. She couldnât imagine her publicist taking it well if she suddenly outed herself to the media, but she also didnât want to outright lie.Â
Obviously spotting Lukaâs discomfort, Jayme cleared her throat, âIâm sorry, no media in my book shop. Iâm going to have to ask you to leave.â It was the same detached tone she had used when they first met. Luka hurt to hear it.Â
âOh, whoops, sorry.â Luka laughed, shrugging at the put out look on the reporterâs face, âBut hey, what the lady says, goes. I donât want to make her angry. Itâs been, what, four months? Five? I found out fasting when we started dating that though she looks adorable angry, itâs best to keep her happy.â Luka declared, cheeky grin on her face and she pulled an evidently surprised, yet obviously rather pleased Jayme down into a kiss.Â
Theyâd still have to deal with the long distance, Jayme in New York and Luka in Los Angeles, still have to deal with the repercussions of the worldâs biggest playgirl declaring she had a steady girlfriend, still have to deal with all that came with having a relationship, but theyâd manage. No doubt about that.Â
âNo youâre not. I got you. I told you to try and easier form first. You should have kept your shoulders on the ground instead of putting your arms under you.â
âFuck you! I didnât want to do this to begin with!â Fabian scowled, though he could feel Winterâs arms under his back supporting him in the supposedly simple back bridge he was attempting.Â
âIt will help your balance, your stance, and just help in general.â Winterâs tone was really pissing him off. It was his normal tone. Calm, stoic, and collected, but dammit Fabian swore he could hear just a bit of smugness in his usual voice.
âI donât care! Iâm good enough.â Fabian muttered petulantly. He heard the breath Winter let out and knew it was his sign of exasperation.Â
âThere is always room for improvement.â Winter said, tone twisting just a bit and Fabian knew it was because he had said that many times, to him, to Bucky, to Yasha, hell, maybe even to Faith.Â
âFuck you.â Fabian murmured under his breath, even though he knew Winter would hear it. He always heard it.
âEven Yasha can do this. Not well, but do it.â Fabian probably would have laughed if he didnât feel that the smallest movement would send him sprawling to the ground. He could actually hear the irritation in Winterâs voice. He must be getting under his skin more than he expected.
âThen get fucking Yasha to do it!â Fabian griped, shifting his hand placement just a bit and yelping when his elbow gave out. Winter easily caught him, pulling him up onto his knees. Fabian coughed, face red from being upside down for so long. So long, ha, it had probably been only a few minutes...
âOkay, and with that, I think weâre done yoga for today.â Fabian shoved Winter weakly in protest, not so much at his words (god no, not at his words, fucking finally, enough yoga), but at the tone he used, again.Â
âYoga is freakinâ stupid.â Fabian muttered, pointedly not turning into Yasha and not pouting.Â
âOf course it is darling.â Winter agreed, tone much too placating. His own little brand of sarcastic, dry humor to amuse himself. Bastard.Â
Fabian gave into the urge and went Yasha, pouting at the other man until he got a kiss.Â
Winter inhaled slowly, eyes flitting open, nose pressed in between Fabian's shoulder blades, arms wrapped around him. He exhaled slowly, pulling back his arms and lips twitching in amusement at the noise of objection that slipped through Fabian's throat, still half asleep.Â
"Shh." he murmured, kissing his shoulder. He waited until Fabian's eyes slowly blinked awake, groggily focusing in on him. "I'm making breakfast. I'll be back." he assured him and got a sleepy nod in reply.

Oh god so uh a Willow/Fabian video um yeah... It happened:
Okay Willow supposed to be a flower child, anyways we were joking around on twitter about shipping her with Fabian, and I said once I got Louisa clips I'd make a wabian video and since I now have Louisa clips... Here it is, a video for a character we haven't met.
Anyways it's got a plot:
Nina and Fabian break up because Nina is going back to America that night Fabian has a dream with him and this girl and their adventures, he wakes up the next morning and at school who does he see?
to tie his. Eddie and Patricia got their skates and put them on quickly. Willow had already made her way to the rink and appeared to have the time of her life. Fabian looked like a baby horse that had only been walking a few hours. His legs were shaking and he was clinging to the rail. Eddie stepped onto the ice and watched as his girlfriend stayed on the carpet area. "Come on yacker it doesn't bite you can hold onto me," he winked. Willow had skated over to where Fabian was and took his hand.
The group of four arrived at the ice rink. Willow bouncing excitedly. Fabian trying to keep up with her. Eddie trying to convince Patricia to give it a shot at least. "Look slimeball I've never been ice skating." "Well I can show you I used to go all the time," he teased. "Ugh fine, but I'm not doing this for you, I'm doing this for Fabian, because its clear he has no clue what to do with Willow," she scowled. The pair entered the rink and saw Willow already had skates on. Fabian was struggling
