DEAD WEAPONS, a character introduction.
“I have an affinity for the vendetta that’s been rotting my bones since I was a child.”
Taira no Satsuki was the daughter of Taira no Masakado, a once admired saiko-komon to the Fujiwara-gumi before his uprising. Satsuki was born into ignorance as her family shielded her from her father’s occupation, fearing she may be scrutinized or possibly harmed due to his high ranking status as an administrator in Japan’s largest yakuza organization. In her youth, she was a happy child who never noticed her parent’s tattoos that littered their skin or the various guns hidden within their walls — living under the illusion that her mother was a housewife and her father was a devoted businessman. However, after her father’s failed uprising, the oyabun of the Fujiwara family agreed to the execution of Taira no Masakado’s family.
Satsuki awakes in the hospital with the man she known as ‘ojisan’ (uncle) all her life resting beside her. It was in these moments did the facade her family carefully fabricated began to shatter as her uncle relies the news of her parents death. Despite her family’s will, he was unable to care for Satsuki personally but he promised Satsuki a life where she’ll be loved — a life far away from this tragedy and away from the million eyes of the Fujiwara-gumi. After staying in intensive care for three days, she leaves for Kanazawa city in Ishikawa prefecture where she molds into the identity of Tsukuba Takiyasha — the daughter of Tsukuba Rynosuke, a financial analysts, and his wife Tsukuba Kikumaru as she played the role of Tsukuba Yoshikado’s fraternal twin sister. Unable to release the rage that possessed her soul, she took it upon herself to learn to fight and defend herself at a young age. At the age of thirteen, she got pulled into an argument between her ‘twin’ brother and the crime boss of a local gang. Fearing for his life, Takiyasha prosed a deal — she’ll carry his sin of deceiving them and work as an information broker in their local hostess club for the exchange they must supply her weapons.
