πDEVILS PILLARπ
The story goes Once long ago A priest was gambling with his soul He bet the devil without bluffing Laid his wager all or nothing The devil's task was born in stone To bring a pillar back from Rome The priest in contrast had the task Born in Spirit, to say the mass And though the devil flew like hell He didn't beat the closing bell And o"er Vysehrad fortress ground The priest Amen-ed to win the round The devil was thrown in the sea And marble column broke in three When Satan dropped it from the skies Here it fell and here it lies. π
