     Alice is expecting his first question --- and her signing is improving, becoming more conversational --- so she just nods slowly, thinking about how to answer. It’s not till the second takes her by surprise that she reacts. She laughs.   “Yeah.”

  Scarab doesn’t see what’s so funny; then again, it usually doesn’t. It keeps plucking trip wires at the back of her mind, warning her to be careful. But unnerving though he is, Wykkyd is still... a kid.

     [ It latched on. Long story. ]   She skips to the moral of it:   [ Don’t run into any burning labs, okay? Nothing good ever happens after you do that. ]

        “ --- hey,  there was a kid back in Rio who was deaf,  actually,  so I learned a bit of ASL myself. Check it out,”  he’ll raise his hands, looking as though he was preparing to do some sort of great performance.     ‘what’s up?’ 

💖- a memory that made them feel special

one time the members of teen titans and doom patrol planned a surprise party for gar. it had everything he loved. classic movies, a turntable, jukebox, pinball games, etc. all the food were vegan-based so he won’t feel left out. the amount of thought they had was what counted.

beast boy was far from stupid or idiotic. he was just... different. it was none of kyd wykkyd’s business. ‘ HEY, YOU BIG MEANIE ! YOU’RE THE ONE WHO DOES STUPID THINGS ! ’ even though he was described as the comic relief of teen titans, he has other emotions too. he had the right to be angry. if only more people took him seriously.
