Big Chuck
It occurs to me that I've never made a 100-ton 'mech that's got as many weapons as it can fit, using all of the bells and whistles.
It's got 15 tons of standard armor. I was happily surprised that LGRs were so crit-dense and also fit in the torsos. It's a dedicated sniper which can make its own cover with the HVACs.
It's very, very bad though. Anything that moves 2/3 is pretty bad. The HVACs and Light Gauss Rifles both explode in certain circumstances and the composite structure makes that dire.
But I can't think of too many better ways to cram 74 tons into 36 crits.
Me, pointing at the green light the person in front of me is stopped at, "Is this anything???"

So it's an evil pool. Looks like an able execution of the idea of an evil pool. It even makes the dad go crazy. It's something I've seen a million times before, but perhaps I take for granted that there's someone out there who sees the novel idea at the core of it and has only seen the shambling, recycled skeleton 500,000 times.

FMK Books - Comos, Maestro, and Rainbows End
In an effort to make my bookshelf reasonably-sized and intellectually honest, it's another monthly Finish, Mete, Keep poll where I choose a book to finish, a book to mete out to a secondhand store, and a book to keep.

Cosmos was voted on by folks to be in this month's milieu. It's by Carl Sagan. It don't have a dust jacket for it so I assume it's nonfiction.
Maestro, a nonfiction autobiography of Alan Greenspan, who was Chairman of the United States Federal Reserve for 19 years.
Rainbows End science fiction by a guy who's been writing science fiction for about as long as I've been alive. I was halfway through Rainbows End years ago and stopped to reflect and predict where it was going.
It's about an man who was fortunate enough to be genetically compatible with several de-aging technologies, including one that reversed the neural decline which kept him unaware of society for the past 20 years. He reintegrates into a society living on the edge of AI, wearable tech, NUSPI consumer goods, and bioweapons cooked up in kitchens.
One of my favorite jokes is saying, "What are you, gay?" When I, myself, am a gay.
It's not a cinematic universe; the stories are designed to entertain, explain unknowable aspects of the universe, and reinforce social mores.
There's no "one true" version of this fictional character who represents a broad archetype, nor do we have to reconcile the many stories they appear in. "Canon" is a collection of past works deemed authentic by individuals in power, and as with all notions by individuals in power, it's fluid to the point of being irrelevant.
"What about Star Trek--"
