Ā Ā Ā laugh leaves his lips, well disguised as a COUGH ā a directĀ result of too much smoke inhalation. the joke would have been wielded and deliveredĀ better Ā by his brother. still, he GRASPSĀ at straws, attempting to diffuse whatever tension hangs THICK between them. there isnāt one part of him thatās been left unchanged by thisĀ WORLD. a sideways glance in the mirror sparks CONFUSIONĀ deep within him ( he could have SWORN that he had left home this morning nineteen years old, butĀ whoever looks back at him seems very much OLDER ). sheās right. itās KILLING him, too. killing whoever it was that he USED to be, and making room for someone heās not quite sure he can come to like.Ā

Ā Ā Ā his hand lifts hers into it, and he wastes no time in brushing his lips against her knuckles. he MIGHT have smiled ā just a bit.Ā āā sāalright, darling.Ā Ā āā Ā translation : iām alright ā weāre alright. itās certainly ENOUGHĀ for another day.Ā
