THE BIG DOG PARTY IS HERE. I'll say right out the gate that Vordt could have made it significantly higher on this list if his entire body wasn't a hitbox during his charge in phase 2 because man, that shit sucks. Other than that, he's a very solid second boss; his phases are distinct, his moveset is slow but hard-hitting with good windows for punishment, and he overall communicates that Dark Souls 3 is going to move a lot faster than 1. His visual design is solid if not innovative, and his music is decently bombastic. I can always appreciate a boss that repeatedly beats my ass on early attempts but is (mostly) fair enough that nowadays I can reliably beat him without getting hit. Good stuff.
