Von Loop, Cheap Dirty Horse and Pigeon Pit were maybe the concert ever yesterday. Was sooo happy to see Pigeon Pit for the first time and to be introduced to the wonder that is Von Loop and be reintroduced to beautiful Cheap Dirty Horse.
Unfortunately as I am still recovering from shoulder surgery and dealing with some evil worsened chronic pain at the moment i was not in the pit though it look like so much fun!
Everyone was so kind and the vibes in the bar before hand were very friendly and cool and it was so nice to meet so many cool fellow trans people as someone who isnt surrounded by many very often big sigh.
Of course my highlight for Cheap Dirty Horse had to be P.R.O.T.E.C.T.T.R.A.N.S.K.I.D.S. because who doesnt love that song? Evidently from how the crowd was i can say everyone there feels the same. Totally didnt cry totally kept normal and sane the whole time.
Pigeon Pit were my highlight naturally as theyre a very special band for me that ive been listening to since i was a littler lad. It would be pretty hard to pick just one highlight from their set honestly. I really enjoyed River Song and Thread the Needle easily two of my favourites of theirs.
Got to talk to Eva at the merch stand and that was wonderful.. picked up some stuff and my Cheap Dirty Horse sticker has seemed to escape me.. It will find me again one day.
