I'm fully prepared to be fed to the sharks, but i will have you know i did at least try to look at your twilight fic rec list first. Do you have any favorite or respected fic that handled alice's character properly? beyond your own works?

Alas, I don't have much to give you. She's almost always relegated to the Bella's friend slot (or if it's a Bella bashing fic, then Alice is the loudest among the Cullens in hating stupid Bella. She was only pretending to like her!), and I don't read Jalice fics.
I do have one go-to fic for well-written Alice, one that really stood out, but I couldn't recommend it without telling you to stop after a certain chapter because it... drops the ball. And I'm not talking someone's work down in public, so you'd have to DM me for that.

God, anon, I'm sorry but I struggle. Alice as a leading character doesn't interest me so every well-characterized Alice coming to mind are Alices who were minor. The fic I refer to above had a Trojan Horse Alice, didn't think she would be a major character but she stole the show.
In other words, I don't have anything for you.
I think I'll tag @jessicanjpa and @volturialice. Both have written Alice fic and get her character really well. They should be able to give you more satisfying answers than I can.

@ the anon who asked about brainstorming: apparently tapping into your parasympathetic nervous system helps! my (eccentric, but extremely creative) boss swears by: peeing, showering, and swimming. I have not personally looked into the science behind it all, but those are her methods to find inspiration/brainstorm

i can’t swim, but i get a lot of good brain writing done while i run or drive somewhere. also hard agree showering is good, although usually by the time i’m done, i’ve forgotten all the things i’ve thought of. my mom bought me one of those waterproof pencil/paper things but i always forget to use it.
