ALL of Voltron plot base was the relationship between Sheith. From the very first scene, everything revolves around them.
Honerva, a villain, literally said their connection runs deep, "deeper than the others".
Of course it could be platonic, if we didn't know the directors ship them, the writers ship them, the animators ship them, the VAs ship them. It was made as romantic.
And when they had to cut out almost ALL Sheith interactions from S8... Literally everything in their entire universe went wrong.
All characters were butchered because without Sheith there was nothing gluing basic universe rules together.
Voltron, intrinsically, only exists if Sheith exists.
Have your headcanon ships, just stop harassing people who ship the canon 🤗
