Apparently all poc die in this show or something
I'll just say that I think I may have better odds surviving Game of Thrones than this show.

I’m so happy that he likes what he likes! Too often we try to gender children’s likes and interests and it makes me happy to hear kids liking what they want, regardless of “who it’s intended for by society’s standards"
Agreed. And thing is I know part of it is trying to not have him be "influenced" by me. Yet, really, I find that because of his freedom of likes, he has a better relationship with girls his age (and my sister the same with other boys) and can relate better to them because of growing up appreciating what all "sides" have to offer.
In the case of my bro and I, we used to sometimes end up in arguments because he swore by the fact Belle is the best princess ever (I stand by Mulan) because she is brave, smart, likes books, kind and just plain awesome. He grew up appreciating girls so he has a better time appreciating his peers and forming friendships with them.
So, while that doesn't mean he's not queer, nor it should matter if he is or isn't, in a way I made him a "better" straight guy, and his dad should appreciate that.

your baby bro is the best
He's the sibling that is most attached to me, so he's always like this. I keep "indulging" him, apparently, so he keeps stanning females, for example. He went on and on over Doctor Who and half of it was about Rose mostly, but companions in general. Boy loves the hell out of Rose and is a huge Rose/10 shipper. My God!
He is all about shipping too. He loves romance like no other, in ways I personally don't get, but it is so funny to watch him hug a pillow and just start screaming at his favorite couple finally kissing. He's a perfect target for those youtube reaction videos. It is adorable because he's 11 right now.
Biggest fan of Disney princesses at our house. He won't admit it right now, but I used to buy those Barbie princesses DVDs because he adored those (apparently they don't hold up the test of time like his other princesses). He hated Transformers, but boy couldn't drag me harder to watch Tangled. We ended up watching Brave twice, he didn't want to watch the "boy" film his father pointed and he was gaga for Merida. He wanted Merida school stuff and got told no and then side eyed me about it. So I just gave him a Merida binder with our secret handshake.
Boy's ipod is full of female power singers and most of music talks is about singers I have no idea because I hear Spanish Rock. But it's my fault because I gave him Cascada when he was a little kid and he will not shut up if you put any of her songs.
There is this funny story I wonder if I erased by accident, but I had to teach him color appreciation because he wanted this backpack that my mother considered for girls because it was purple(? been a while). I had to tell him that colors are for everybody and he ended up twisting my talk into basically "SIS SAID I COULD HAVE IT BECAUSE COLORS HAVE NO PENISES" And of course I got a call from my mother, because it wouldn't be a me and my bro story if it didn't end that way...
His dad has such a "gay panic" with him sometimes. My mother too, but in a lesser way. I don't care, he knows I don't. He isn't as far as I know because he crushes on girls. He just loves "girly" things and protagonists and stories. Generally speaking, he likes anything he considers cool and those thing fall in his "cool" area and I don't think it's wrong to tell him to not like them. Just like I fight for my sister's right to go outside and play basketball if that's what she wants. I want both my babies to do whatever they want and appreciate things.
