Oh Voldritch's whole getup is a costume he bought off the internet. If he didn't decide to be a stereotypical mad scientist, he'd look like this.

Voldritch was a chunky, nacho devouring loser most of his life until he peaked in college, when a stoner told him his relaxation devices were shit. From then on there he wanted to become a mad scientist and take over the world which his weird steampunk family encouraged.

He went through many styles costumes from ill fitting suits, tuxes to finally giving up and stealing a generic mad scientist look from a book ....and hitting the gym.

After he got his Phd, he started renting his own lab and relied on government grants (it's hard being an ethical mad scientist).

Eventually Bloofs took over his lab and since then, they've been helping him pay off the lab and his work. With that, he's gotten rather lazy over the years and just tests on himself leading to him sleeping on the job.
