Ora Dale Speaks | Bellybuds Review
Is this clip familiar (and hilarious)? [*NOT MY VIDEO*] This was my first introduction to Bellybuds. In truth, when the kind PR worker, Jenny, contacted me about reviewing them, I did not realize that Bellybuds were the product Sofia's character was using. Yes, Sofia and I are on first name terms. :)
My Bellybuds arrived quickly and I was super excited to try them. I pulled the box open, quickly scanned the directions to make sure there wasn't any major point I might miss, and put them to use immediately. The first time, I did not use the adhesive gel disks. I just put them on the lower part of my belly and pulled my full panel pants up a bit to keep them in place. My kids were pretty thrilled that there was an audio splitter, so naturally they took turns listening to music with Baby. I used my iPhone for audio and it worked like a charm. So easy! I'm not a huge directions reader and like to figure things out on my own and for a person like me, this product is no problem.
The orangutan was not included in my package.
I did pull out the instruction booklet when I used the adhesive gel disks. I wanted to make sure I was applying the right side to my belly and to the disk. Everything was written clearly and thankfully, I got everything put where it was supposed to go. The gel disks stuck well to my stomach and were not uncomfortable at all! They are reusable, which is pretty cool. You don't need a new set for each use. I was slightly concerned they may make my belly itchy or break me out, since I have super sensitive skin, but thankfully they did nothing of the sort! I did have a teeny bit of adhesive left on my belly, but it rubbed right off with no problem. This time I used my iPad to play music through the Bellybuds.
The last thing I tried with the Bellybuds is the VoiceShare, which I used with my laptop. I don't know how to add the little R with a circle around it, but that is supposed to be there with VoiceShare. I half used the instructions Jenny sent to me and half tried to figure it out myself. I did need a little of both. However, it was really simple and the site was quite user friendly. I recorded a message for my wee boy myself and then let my oldest daughter record two for him. She loved it!
To be honest, I am a busy mom and not one to use a product like this on a daily basis. With my first, I might have done that, but I'm on my fourth and I think that says it all. :) If you want to know about durability and how it this product holds up with multiple uses, you'll have to look to another review.
I greatly enjoyed using Bellybuds and love that they help my kids feel more connected to their brother. I did not send invites to family for recording their own messages, but I know that my mother will jump on that as soon as I do. My husband has not had a chance to record his own message yet.
This is a great product and it seems very well made, not cheap in the least. You get a little case to keep them in, as well, which is a plus to me! I can keep everything together. I am positive that I will use them again before my guy makes his arrival and will recommend them to others as well!
Thank you so much, Jenny and Bellybuds for the opportunity to try your wonderful product! Side note: I love the green!
