@vldsaeun !
AERA NEVER REALLY WANTED SAEUN to see her this way. Then again, Aera’s hardly ever thought of it before. She’s never let it get this bad.
Hair mussed, eyes red, cheeks puffy— she can’t even say that she’s good-looking right now. She’s too frightened to bother Areum or Hamin; at the end of the day, family’s her number one, and she can’t let them ever see her like this.
It’s why she invited over her leader, instead. Saeun probably knows what it’s like to want something just as much as Aera does. Problem is, Saeun’s talented enough to get what she wants.
Distantly, Aera thinks that she seriously should’ve just moved in with Iota after they all left the dorms. She was such an idiot. She’s done this stupid thing since leaving where she actually looks— what’s the word?— “inward,” and actually does some “introspection,” and “really thinks about what she actually wants in life.”
God, she hates it. Every second of it hurts like a little bitch.
Letting Saeun in, she passes the mirror hung up in the entryway. They’ve been moved out for almost a month now, and the only things Aera’s unpacked are her couch (doesn’t need to be unpacked), her bed (doesn’t need to be unpacked) and the mirror (but hey, that one’s a necessity). She literally has one blanket that she carries around ‘cause she hasn’t laid her comforter on the bed. When she washes dishes, she puts them back in the moving box.
She wanted to have a housewarming party, but she’s been having too much of an existential crisis to do so. Aera puckers her lips and poses in the mirror, eyes watery and nose sniffley as she holds up the peace sign. That’ll do.
“Unnie, I— I— I just— I—” Aera hardly manages to escort Saeun to the couch before breaking down into tears.
