If you download a Vital preset and when you try to open it, it says "Preset created with a newer version," it is SUCH an easy fix and I have put the steps together here for you.
As a bonus, I am going to include a link to my favorite Vital preset bank that anyone has ever shared, which is this set of Neuro Bass that was shared on Reddit somewhere. 82 Presets. (And, for those curious, yes I had to change these versions to 1.0.7 to make them work!)
Exploring an AI-assisted darksynth patch created in Vital Synth, blending analog-style grit with futuristic tones. After training ChatGPT on how synthesizers work, I started building this loop — maybe it’ll grow into a full cyberpunk / synthwave track.
I’ve always loved the idea of human–machine hybrid composing, drawing inspiration from ’70s sound synthesis, industrial textures, and DIY electronic music production. Once properly “fed” with the logic behind oscillators, filters, and modulation, AI can actually deliver amazing sound-design results.
