what are you unabashedly proud of "liking before it was cool/popular"?? like idc i have to let EVERYBODY know that ive been a day 1 doechii stan

i mean do be knowledgeable and informed but also be aware you will have to take a break sometimes or your brain will kill you

our nervous systems are not equipped to know every bad thing happening in the world, to have a dopamine drip in our back pockets, to hear everybody's opinions on everything including ourselves, to sit all day in a climate controlled box, to be a daily voyeur, and look at ourselves everyday from every angle including ones that aren't even real (ie. flipping your face to reveal "flaws") so. maybe let's live under rocks.

it can be so difficult coming to peace with Regularness if you don't spend a lot of time with other people and reveling in the magic of being Regular and Average and Ordinary. bc then you realize there really is no such thing as Boring or Unimportant; a person or life or anything really doesn't have to be Extraordinary for it to be magical and beautiful and impactful. it is a wonderful and improbable thing just to be alive. everybody you meet has lived a life quite similar to yours but also different in every way. we are all playing with passions and joys and miseries and successes and failures and desires. we own nobody and nobody owns us. we are just animals enjoying each others' company for a while and thinking too hard about it.
