I've got my first shift working at a fast food place on Saturday, can't say I'm thrilled but after not hearing back from any of my interviews this really is my very last resort and apparently David Cameron is going to change ALL of the Immigration Visas as of May 2015 so I have absolutely NO choice and I have to work here to stay with Richard and continue my life here. There really is no other option because the parliament will be RAISING all of the base and regular fees and earnings on the Visas to enter and stay in the UK.
I can't tell you how hard I cried last night or how much this change has affected us but it's not a good outcome as they will be raising the costs/earnings by literally thousands of pounds when it is barely attainable for the working class at present. Cameron upped these fees in 2012 the spousal visa earnings went from £5,000 per year between 2 to the now £18,600 which is going to go up. Keep in mind if you have a child or dependant that price is currently £22,400 between 2. I do not understand why the British Government is making it so much more difficult than the process already is for legal, english speaking and paying immigrants to live and work freely here, this is not where their immediate attention should be so soon after the price hikes back in 2012. They should be focusing on their own current economy and issues and ILLEGAL immigrants, how to keep them from slipping into the system and so forth as Canada is doing. I understand this country is small but if I don't leech off your benefits, if I speak your language a hell of a lot better than about 40% of the country and am highly educated, working and contributing back to the community in several ways including volunteer and charity work I don't understand how I am (and everyone currently in my shoes) the pressing issue.
