Cursed thought: Do you think once Robin S-Supports Virion that they "subtly" flirt with each other through tactics, causing everyone in the war room to slowly die inside?
(Sponsored by a weird dream I had. I don't even play Awakening.)
I await the day we get a mass deluge of Virion reposts
(The more people request reposts of certain characters, the more you'll get! For now, here's one repost...the morning after!!!)
âAhhâŚcomme câest parfait.âÂ
Virionâs voice was like honey as it slowly washed over your ears, the sound sweet and warm and comforting. You felt long, slender fingers of an experienced archer delicately caress the soft skin of your cheek.Â
It was careful yet deliberate, and the absolute best possible way for you to wake up. You turned your head to look up at him, and found your new bedtime partner practically glowing next to you.
âGood morning, mon amour.â He called to you, and for a moment, the world was absolutely perfect. You could absolutely get used to waking up like this.
âGood morning, Virion.â You responded in kind, turning your head to press a featherlight kiss to the fingertips hovering over your skin.Â
He laughed softly.
âHow did you sleep, ma femme?â
âWonderfully.â You sighed in contentment, but your eyebrows quickly drew together. âWaitâŚâma femmeâ?â
âThat is what you are now, isnât it? You are my wife, as of last night.â Virion replied with a hint of amusement, âOr did you forget in the whirlwind of festivities?â
âNo, I thoughtâŚI remember when you taught me some of your native language, and I just thoughtâŚI mean, âfemmeâ is âwomanâ, isnât it?â
âThat is correct, amour.â
âThen why did you call me âyour womanâ instead of âyour wifeâ?â You questioned him with a mixture of curiosity and a hint of offense. âI donât think Iâve ever heard you refer to me as âwomanâ, before. Thatâs something Lonâqu does.â
âAnd I would never be so uncouth and barbaric to reduce you to such a disrespectful title!â Virion assured you, a dramatic hand on his toned, flawless chest.
(You were a little offended, but it didnât change your mind that he was an absolutely beautiful man.)
âThen why did you say âma femmeâ?â
âBecause it means âmy wifeâ, of course!â
âIt has two meanings?â
âWell, in a manner of speaking, yes. You see, when we refer to a woman as such, we say âla femmeâ. However, when we speak possessively, it no longer means âwomanâ, but âwifeâ. It is certainly not disrespectful, or at the very least, we do not have such intent.â
âWhy didnât you teach me that when I was first learning my vocabulary?â You wondered aloud, and Virion shrugged, curling some loose hair behind your ear with a tender touch.
âI did not wish to give you the wrong idea. I was quite forward with you from the beginning, and I would not wish to teach you many words that would be irritating to you.â
âThe first things you trid to teach me were âlove, romane and kissâ.â
âYou made it very clear quite quickly that such targeted behavior would not be tolerated.â Virion reminds you with a somewhat forced chuckle, recalling the violence he suffered (a flick on the forehead) for messing with you.
âBut âhusbandâ and âwifeâ are important words to know. Even if you didnât explain it the way you did just now, I wouldnât have been bothered.â
âThat is true, I supposeâŚâ He trailed off with a faraway smile, and you tilted your head. He could hardly say no when you looked so adorable, after all. âThe other reason is that I wasâŚrather nervous. I do not know why, but perhaps it is because we were becoming so close, and marriage was something I was beginning to think seriously on. When our vocabulary practice was getting serious, it came to mind to teach them to you.â
âBut you were too scared.â
âScared? Nonsense! I have proposed to you, and I have joined with you in marital union, have I not! You wound my pride, amour!â
âThe truth hurts, âamourâ.â You grinned at him, always enjoying a good tease. Virion pouted, turning his nose up at your terrible behavior.
âHonestly, this angel I have married seems more and more im pish by the hourâŚâÂ
You laughed, shifting from your side of the bed and wrapping your arms around him, resting your head on his chest.
âThere, there, mon homme.â
âI see what you are trying to do, Robin. Very clever of you.â Virion mused as his hand found your hair, playing with it lazily as he laid back into his pillows. âHowever, the correct word for âhusbandâ is âmariâ. âMon mariâ is what you call me.â
You sat up and looked at him.
âWait, so you get a different title, but Iâm still just âa womanâ??â
âI already explained-â
âNo way, thatâs not fair! Men get to differentiate between âmanâ and âhusbandâ, but Iâm still stuck with âfemmeâ? And here I thought you Rosanne types were all proud of equality and egalitarianism.â
âW-we are! Itâs not my fault that languages evolve differently!â Virion sat up to pursue you, âCome now, donât be upset, Robin. Here, we shall call each other something different, instead of âmy husbandâ and âmy wifeâ.â
You glared at him, though it was quite obvious between the both of you that you werenât truly mad.
Still, you crossed your arms and faced away from him, ignoring the brisk morning breeze nipping at your exposed body.
âOh? Then what else will you call me?â
âOh, I have so many pet names I have been dying to call you; mon amour, mon angeâŚthose are the obvious ones.â
âObviously.â
âBut I am looking forward to calling you such things as âmon trĂŠsorââŚâ
âMyâŚtreasure?â
âCorrect. âMon coeurââŚâÂ
âMy heart.â
âSo smart.â Virion leaned in, his chest against your back as his arm slid up your breast, drawing you into him as kisses decorated your neck. ââMon chĂŠriââŚâ
âMy darling?â
âYes, âmon lapinâ.â
âMyâŚmy rabbit??â
âCorrect.â A sharp exhale warmed your skin. You glanced back at him.
âYouâre joking.â
âNo, it is a truly fond name that many married couples call each other. I do look forward to it, mon canardâ.â
âYou just called me a duck!â
âI called you âmyâ duck.â
ââŚAll right, honeymoonâs over.â
âW-wait!! That is a legitimate name, as well!!â He protested your attempts to get out of your honeymoon bed, practically begging you to rejoin him between the sheets while failing to hide his infectious laughter.
You only agreed after making him promise to come up with better pet names than ârabbitâ or âduckâ. Otherwise he could kiss his âfemmeâ goodbye. Though it was fairly easy to forget all about the teasing and threatening when Virion kissed you senseless the second you laid back down.
Perhaps the strange nicknames werenât so bad, after all.
