“Huh? Is there something on my face?”

“O-Oh...!” 

   A wave of embarrassment falls over the cleric as she bustles over to the soldier’s side, gripping her staff tightly as though it’s a security blanket of sorts. She’d left the room for one minute in search of another inkwell, only to come back and find him reading her latest work in progress! Perhaps that’s what she gets for having left it so out in the open in the castle, but she can’t help the mortification. 

“...That’s... Um... That’s mine, Mister...” She mumbles, setting the inkwell down at the table. “S-since you’re reading it... I-Is it any good? It... Would b-be nice to hear someone new’s thoughts on my writing...”

  Winds grew harsh– a frigid gust of wind took over them as his hands numbed. Although the climate was harsh, he didn’t except a full on snowstorm as flakes of snow brushed across their faces in a flurry. With a storm so thick he thought for a moment they might have not made it, grabbing onto the other soldier’s hand, as to not lose each other in such chaos. 

                                                       ‘ Don’t let go ! ’

  In all honesty, any form of shelter was what he was hoping to find, so that they both wouldn’t die, at least endure the storm until it had died down. The snow at their feet was getting thicker, already deeper than their ankles. Rigel was such a different climate than Zofia, but he hadn’t anticipated such a harsh storm. 

  Thankfully for them, he noticed a small opening or cave that could provide as shelter for them. His feet had gone numb, not even his clothing was much protection as he could feel the cold seeping through. He wasn’t sure how Forsyth was fairing, but if they could make it through this storm, he was sure that they could easily regroup with the rest of them once the storm died down.

  A small numbing sense washed over his face when the wind wasn’t blowing directly into his face, as he let go of the other’s hand. Brushing any excess snow off of his person, he looked at Forsyth with a slightly concerned look, a little exhausted from the ordeal, but at least they were sheltered for now.
