Ofc. But the thing about not intervening is that in the future, countries will believe that using chemical weapons is fine because the US did nothing in Syria. It’s too much. Augh.
Yeah I understand it's very complicated but I don't know, I really don't think "sending a message" will accomplish much. Our economy's too fucked at the moment to really be worrying about these other things.Â
I understand that ethically we feel that we should intervene to stop the killing, however we really cannot financially afford another war, everything were in is bad enough as is. This is disregarding the uncertainty of who really set off the chemicals (though the U. N seems to think it's the rebels) and the fact that the cluster bombs that we would send kill much more innocents than it would soldiers.
