#violetrain

Scott was there with me the whole time which I’m so grateful for since he wasn’t able to be there the last time I gave birth. We both shed a tear as she started crying, I don’t remember crying when Brynn was born though. I was probably in such a shock I had no time to cry haha. But yeah, cheesy as it sounds I really feel like my life is complete now that I have my 2 beautiful princesses with me.

Brynn couldn’t stop looking at her little sister and she was so gentle and careful when she held her. I think these will forever be my favorite photos of them together. I plan to have a newborn photoshoot of them soon. 

I hope I didn’t bore you with all these photos haha, sorry but they are just adorable. I cannot take my eyes off of my Violet Rain. Speaking of her name, we decided on Violet when we found out she’ll be a February baby since violet is the flower of the month. Her middle name however was harder to pick. I liked Violet Jean but the initials (VJ) didn’t really look too good. A lot of people told me she could get teased for it when she goes to school so that was a no no. Other two options were Violet Rose (2 flowers in the name though) or Violet Grace which is overused as a middle name. Brynn really wanted to name her sister, but knowing her  she would’ve named her Hermione or some other name from any book she ever read (which are all beautiful names but I don’t want her to be associated with anything particular like that) so I just said okay, you can choose the middle name. Funny thing is, she had no idea what to name her either haha. (I guess Hermione just didn’t work as a middle name :’) ). It was raining this morning while she was entering the world so while she was holding her it just came to her. She whispered “Mom, I think I know what her middle name will be. Rain”

I am not going to lie, I loved it. So it had to stay. That’s how we got ourselves our pretty little Violet Rain. ♥
