So here we come to the last of the Corps. The Violet Lanterns, or Star Sapphires as they are known better as, are powered by the emotion Love. 

...and they’re all women.

...except that one time Guy put on one...

...aaand when they made Jon Stewart a member.

Those who are found to have great love in their hearts can be recruited into the Star Sapphires. They’re mainly females because they’re not too fond of males. They don’t need to mate because they are Immortal... the original ones at least. The two most well known of the group are Carol Ferris (Hal Jordan’s lady love) and Fatality (John Stewart’s on again off again lady and a name that is equally hot and scary as fuck). They have a lot of powers, most of them are similar to the other corps like flight and limited invulnerability, but they also have a limited heal (to a lesser extent than the Blues). I could go on with the list, but like the others I leave it to you to look it up if you are interested. Since they are on the opposite side of the spectrum, they be affected by Avarice constructs. They also, and I argue this all the time, are not affected by the red light of Rage since Love is their opposite. This leads to the argument of Love being the opposite of Hate. 

Love and Hate, in my opinion, are not polar opposites. The opposite of Love and Hate is (again my opinion) Apathy. You have to care about something to love it, and the same goes for hating something. It’s like saying, “I could care less!”. That means you care... even a little bit. Now to say, “ I couldn’t care less.” pretty much means you don’t give a fuck.

Damn... so off topic.

I initially was going to do some pinup style images of the Star Sapphires. While they are the only group with mainly females, there are other female in the other corps. That and it would be really sexist. How do I put Love into an image with a group of mainly female characters and not make it a little provocative? 

Guess you’ll have to wait and see.
