Not some of my finest work, true, but I wanted to try a style I have never done before. Didn’t really come out too well!

BUT!

Sailors, countrymen -- men, women, folk and all! You are hereby welcomed to the grand reopening of The Violet Tap here in the grand city of Boralus, in the Kingdom of Kul Tiras. Join us around the hearth upon Tuesday, the 28th of August, for a night of food, drink, and drunken chicanery!

All are welcomed to attend this auspicious event as we give thanks to those who have fought and lost their lives, homes, family, and very livelihood in the ensuing war -- as well as those who continue to fight for our safety, for the Alliance!

Herein, those attending this reopening, shall be welcomed to half prices ‘pon drinks, bottles, and food! As well as a single night’s free stay within our rooms, as space will allow!

We welcome you to our warm hearth, The Violet Tap.

Where?: Fireside Anchors, Unity Square, Boralus -- Kul Tiras

Kul Tiras is open to all folk, regardless of level! Simply hop on the ship to Boralus at the Stormwind Docks (Previously the dock to Teldrassil) and it’ll take you right to the nation’s capitol!

Above will be the map to the Tap’s location in-game! Simply follow the directions to the location found below!

Hey there, folks! I’ve been giving it some thought recently, and after prodding my employees, and many of our patrons, I’ve decided to move the Tap’s location, ICly and OOCly, to Kul’Tiras!

ICly it’s due to the increasing hostilities going on in the northern kingdoms with the Horde and Alliance. It’s an unsafe environment to raise Garry’s son in, and it’s making travel extremely unsafe.

OOCly it’s due to many facts; chief among them that I LOVE KUL TIRAS! It’ll also be easier to get to that the Hinterlands, and we’ll more than likely have -much- more foot traffic!

Our new OOC location is the Curious Octopus in Mariner’s Row in Boralus! Simply follow the wall until you reach the gap between the north and south part of the city, and as soon as you pass the gap, it’ll be on your right!

Worry not about level restrictions or summons, as the boat to Boralus in Stormwind will take you to Kul’Tiras regardless of your level! So anyone and everyone is able to come!

Due to this change, Ollie’ll also be IC -much- more often, and the Tap may be open more than just Tuesdays!

If anyone’s interested in helping us out in any way, or is interested in attending our tavern, feel free to hit me up, or just head right along!

The Violet Tap is a grande tavern located in the thriving city of Boralus, in Kul Tiras. Managed by the Half-Orc, Olyviane Haldstan, this rustic establishment features a wide variety of beverages and foods from all over the Eastern Kingdoms, and beyond. The Tap is the chosen stop of many on their long voyages throughout the Hinterlands, and is the prime choice of many more, be they Lord or Dame, Adventurer or lowly hunter.

The Violet Tap is currently in need of those looking for ample employment opportunity, with positions including, but not limited to: Bartender, Serving Staff, Kitchen Staff and Management.

The Violet Tap is a Non-Guild/Guild-Optional establishment centered around the aforementioned tavern located in Boralus, Kul Tiras! OOCly, the tavern is located in Fireside Anchors - Unity Square in Boralus!! Our staff is 18+, and we’re an LGBT+ friendly environment with an open Discord and community channel!

What The Violet Tap seeks to accomplish

Promote close-knit, friendly RP between employees and patrons

Promote an air of camaraderie between our employees

Promote RP both inside of, and outside of, Stormwind and capitol cities

Promote public relations with food, drink and alcohol distributors located throughout Azeroth

Promote public RP humanitarian acts (Soup kitchens, giving clothes to the displaced, etc.)

Available positions within the Violet Tap

Bartender - Tends bar and serves drinks to awaiting patrons

Waiter/Wench - Serves food and drink to patrons within the tavern

Kitchen Staff - Prepares the food and dishes

Management - Handles managerial duties

Bouncer/Guard - Removes unwanted patrons from the tavern

While we are hiring for all of these positions above, we’re most notably, at this time, looking for those who’d like to assist in humanitarian deeds! Now, Ollie is not the nicest person, but she stands for the Alliance, and seeks to help in what way we can! We’ll be hosting food drives, soup kitchens, and will be looking to clothe the homeless, as well as various other deeds.

So! If you’re looking to have your character involved in BfA without shipping them off to war, we can help you find one!

Hey guys! Unfortunately, due to discrepancies in sharing the Octopus with us, we’ll have to be changing both the location of the Tap, as well as the date of the reopening! Unfortunately, as well, this means no tavern night this week!

It came to us as a big shock, especially last moment, however, it is what it is! We’re currently looking around Boralus and the surrounding areas for good locations, so you can expect more information on that in the future!

During this time, Ollie will also ICly be around Boralus, so if you see me IC, please feel free to walk up! I look forward to meeting all of you guys, and to our first official night in Kul Tiras!

TONIGHT WAS A BLAST! First Stargazing Festival I’ve been to and I absolutely loved it!

We got a nice little spot inside of the inn in Greenstone Village! Sold our drinks, sold some food! And most of all, served and chilled with a lot of customers! I’m afraid, this time, I didn’t count, but if I were to guess, I’d say at least 40 or so folk stopped by this evening!

TO WHICH I THANK EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU!

Ollie even got to hang out with @threska! And got to know her a little bit more! Ollie still only speaks in broken Orcish, but it works well enough between them!

Thank you to all of our employees who joined us tonight, as well as @rainbowcoffeequeen for helping us plant banners because we didn’t notice they’d disappeared! As well as offering to help should we get overwhelmed!

And a final thank you to @addressroleplays for hosting this spectacular event! I had loads of fun, and I am very thankful to you for allowing us to attend! I can’t wait to join the next!

Another great night for The Violet Tap! Tonight we had a Relief Fund Tavern Night held by @embersong-event-co to help fund relief for Teldrassil! And boy! Had a good company this evening!

31 of you glorious friends came out this evening in support of, not only us, but the poor, displaced folk of Teldrassil! It warms my Horc heart to see the business I’ve poured my soul into so lively each week! I can say with total certainty, it was great fun!

Thank you once again to all of my employees who joined me this evening! I was in a dour mood this evening, as I’d been crying an hour or two earlier, but you folks helped me feel so much better!

Another big thank you to @embersong-event-co for holding the event, and approaching me a month and a half ago to set this up!

Awkward Ollie Smile!

Tonight was another great success for the Tap! We joined the Alliance Brewer’s Guild Summer Brewfest this evening in Lakeshire! While not a massive number of people showed up, we still had our hands full for the breadth of the night! Garnering almost 25 people (from what I tried to count) to our lowly stand!

Thank you to Burly Darkdraft of @battlesteincompany for hosting this evening! My team and I had a grand time! And we eagerly look forward to the next, where you can count on us being there!

Thank you to everyone who came tonight to show your support, as I appreciate it ever so dearly! It means a lot to me to see how far the Tap’s come in what has felt like a short amount of time!
