First evening @berlinerweintrophy welcome dinner. Among all wines from all over the world we end with Cuvee Francisc from @ferdi_winery, a wine from Cabernet Franc & Merlot with 1,5 years in barrels velvety and round with firm tannins. If it’s Tuesday is Belgium, this is a title of a very old movie which suits to me today. This day was special. I speak about Romanian wine @wineparisevent in @winemosaic stand, an organization which promote special grape varieties, mainly local and not well known. I present the wines from SERVE Feteasca Alba Vinul Cavalerului 2018, Feteasca Neagra Terra Romana 2016 and Cuvee Guy de Poix 2015. Feteasca is the most ancient Romanian grape, a very sensitive one and capricious, exactly like a lady. While the white was fresh, floral with good structure because the maturation on lees. The 2016 Feteasca Neagra is very juicy, with black fruits, dried plums and spicy. Cuvee Guy de Poix 2015 is outstanding, dry plum, black currants, figs, ripe black sour cherries, black pepper and bitter chocolate.
