WHERE: Ruff Around Park, suburbs

WHEN: September, 2024

Toshiko needed to run. And where normally, Josh would have taken him out to the lake, they had been running errands around town, picking up food, dropping off parts a client had ordered, and so the dog park was as good of an option as anywhere else. Watching as his pup ran through a pile of walnut leaves, Josh let out a laugh, turning to look at the person next to him. "Leaves have hardly started to fall yet, and my dog is already going nuts, I don't know about yours."

WHERE: Cruise-In

WHEN: August 5, 2023

"Mr. Matthews," Rafael sidled up to the younger man as he stopped in front of the car, offering him a smile. It was nice to see his employees out of the office, enjoying some time away from the hustle and bustle that came with work to just do something fun, something for themselves. "Having a good time so far this afternoon?" Rafael himself had been looking forward to the free afternoon to wander around, admire the cars, enjoy himself in the fresh air. As much as he liked work, sometimes it was nice to just... not.

WHERE: Merrock State Park

WHEN: Volunteer Week, April 2023

"What do you think?" Cage asked for a moment, standing back from the log that had fallen across their path to get a good look at it. It wasn't too big -- but it also wasn't one of the many sticks they had been dragging off the path so far. "Do you think between the two of us, we could get it up and off the path? It's heavy, but it's not like we're a bunch of lightweights or anything."

She hated fire. Hated it with a burning (ha!) passion.

But if this was sticking around (and she really hoped it was temporary like the boost she got to her powers - seriously, if anything attunement-related would stick, the boost was a much better option, not this fire business), she needed to figure out how to not burn the tent around herself down. Or some of her own belongings.

But she didn’t want everyone to see her struggle and try, so she went out to the fisher’s house. Seclusion and being alone and all of that.

Except after about half an hour, she heard footsteps and then suddenly Vincent was in her line of vision. “Go away!” she snapped immediately, annoyed and not at all happy to see him, only for her attitude to do a 180 right the next moment. “No! Hold on! Wait! You were fire attuned, right? Help me figure this shit out!” By this shit she meant the pile of small fire she made (painfully and slowly, others usually did it for her) in front of her.
