Stuffed to the limit and so graciously happy, we prepared to head out. It was pretty warm out but we were having a great day and prepared for the remainder of the trip. Rte. 12 would eventually run out on us so I started navigating and, per the 4K way, we hit a road closed sign. Typically, we can just bike right through these but this one ended in a barricade with a fence...soooo we hopped the fence, passed the bikes over, and kept going. Were so close to the host when we had to face yet another setback. Namely, my tire went flat. Of course. But we fixed it up and made our way into the host in the late afternoon. We had gone about 94 miles and had a great day and the host we ended up at was cool too! We were staying at a 24-hour gym and it was awesome. I even got one of the couches. I chilled with Matt for a bit and we had a stretch sesh before I actually headed to sleep pretty early. If only that had lasted...
